English girl seeks Florida Man While I do not presently reside there, I am a native Floridian. It makes one appreciate the humour so much more, and thus I have a soft spot for these novels.
The opening premise to this installment is weak indeed, and no, this does not model healthy relationships. The moral of the story is that we all craft fantasies that we tenuously link to our realities. An individual who is seasoned in relationships probably reflects upon the memories of childish dalliance with varying degrees of disdain, and thus this novel may have decreased appeal if you cannot suffer girlish naivety.
In case a reader of this review is unaware, the main character in this novel, Julia, is the daughter of the main character in Pirate’s Price, Christine. So yes, I would recommend reading these in order as my knowledge of the mother enhanced my connection to, and understanding of, her daughter.
I really liked reading castaway dreams by this author, and went right to reading this one. It was a mistake. I regretted reading this book as I was reading it, and I wanted the male lead to die.
I hoped the author could turn it around by the end of the book.
After reading this book I felt angry I'd thown away several hours of my life when I could have watched paint dry or stared at the wall.
First off, the female lead is kidnapped by two bozos at the beginning of the novel, and the male lead does nothing to help her. His excuse is that he is still weak and recovering from a fever, but he is still holding her prisoner far away from her home? He also is a creep who,
Honestly, Rand is an abusive asshole and Julia clearly has Stockholm Syndrome, their relationship is unhealthy, and the plot is not worth it.
What a thrilling adventure full of deceit, mistrust, humour. The characters are wonderful. I really enjoyed reading this awesome story, it's a real page turner. Read this story it's well worth your time. Thanks
