Loving natural history and geography as well as human history, this was and is a great book for people like me. Very interesting and very informative. It is non-fiction and does not emphasize loss of life or drama but rather education. What is a tsunami? Where and why do they occur? What can we do to protect ourselves if we live in a tsunami-prone region? What causes a tsunami?

Walter Dudley is one of my favorite scholars on this subject. Cohesive, compelling and well-written.
