Borrowed this book from the library but I really want to buy it! I made the dinosaur sweater. I would give the book 5 stars but there were two big problems with the pattern

a-I checked my gauge but the sweater ended up being WAY too big even though my gauge was EXACTLY what the pattern said

b-It was my first time doing colorwork and there were NO directions to help me figure it out so the first time I went through I didn't know to twist the yarn just so and there were huge holes all over in the dinosaur. I had to rip the whole thing out and start over. SO if you're going to follow the charts MAKE SURE YOU WATCH A YOUTUBE VIDEO!!!

This vibrant collection is filled with knitted items the children in your life will love to wear and use. These designs are all about brilliant color and fun-filled styling, and there are garments, accessories, blankets, and toys for every season of the year. From sweaters, dresses, and jackets, and scarves, mittens, and hats, to blankets and toy animals, all the designs are suitable for the average knitter—and the above-average knitter, of course! A fabulous, must-have collection for all who knit for kids.

Adorable designs! I would like to knit up several of the sweaters and one of the toys (the mouse). The charting is new territory for me, but I think I could do it. Only troublesome part is that the knits are at most for sizes 4-5, and I have littles bigger than that... But I can try and just make them longer?

what I really liked about this book was the pics of the knitted pieces that made up the project. Seeing the pieces that make up the puppy really helped me when I stared thinking about whether or no to knit him.

Oh, the fun, funky cuteness! Absolutely beautiful items to knit that the recipient would actually enjoy, not just stuff in a drawer and eventually give to Goodwill.

Sweet patterns and illustrations. I have knitted the mouse, and I sewed the dog based on the knitted pattern.

The best knitting book i've ever bought. Well, it ties with the nighttime one by her.

Cute. Was interested in the non-sweater items, such as the bird and dog toys. All projects do include sewing up (ugh) though.
