A collection of spontaneous "satsangs," or truths, spoken from Sri H. W. L. Poonja's experience of the highest and yet simplest that we are pure love and consciousness, the totality of existence. Reveals thousands of ways to help us inquire into who we really are, to bring our awareness into the infinity of the moment, and surrender to the wisdom of our Truth.
This was an important book for me and it took me nearly 8 months to complete. Largely, this was because I would read only one passage a night. It's not the kind of book you can read like a novel if you're taking it seriously.
Papaji answers questions of those who come to see him in Satsang (spiritual meeting of self-inquiry) with a grace that is rare in this world. His compassion and insight is profound. Whether a householder or an ascetic, each question and answer leads back to the Self (the Self meaning the God-Self, not the ego self). He touches on the human struggle with anger, doubt, and fear, and also touches on death, children, work, and many other aspects of being a human being on the quest to find One Self.
Of course, he uses many parables and stories as examples (not so much to take as literal truths, but certainly ones that make a point), which I found to be delightful, but also very important.
Papaji's compassion, wisdom, and graciousness is an inspiration. In this book are pictures of him in Satsang and throughout his life. This one I bought for my dad on his birthday, but found myself reading it before he did.
