I found this piece of fondly remembered childhood in a box I was rummaging through. I re-read it today. Kind of a shame that all of the puns are either dated, or so far above the average grade 5 reader the book proclaims it's self to be for. A little dorky, and it kind of hurt to read.
Just the same - this book is in surprisingly good shape for as much as I loved it when I was young. I am sure to save it for my kiddos as well.
This is a children's book through and through but I still love it for the sheer amount and shamelessness of the puns and bad jokes that pervade every page. It's basically a bunch of short mysteries that the main character manages to solve. Perhaps even on purpose.
This was my favorite book as a kid. It holds a kind of nostalgia that can only be found in [this book]. I’m an adult now, and I still find this book hilarious.
