About the author

Cindy Dees started flying airplanes while sitting in her dad’s lap at the age of three and got a pilot’s license before she got a driver’s license. At age fifteen, she dropped out of high school and left the horse farm in Michigan where she grew up to attend the University of Michigan.

After earning a degree in Russian and East European studies, she joined the U.S. Air Force and became the youngest female pilot in the history of the Air Force. She flew supersonic jets, VIP airlift and the “C-5” Galaxy, the world’s largest airplane. She also worked part-time gathering intelligence. During her military career, she traveled to forty countries on five continents, was detained by the KGB and East German secret police, she got shot at, flew in the first Gulf War, met her husband and amassed a lifetime’s worth of war stories.

Her hobbies include professional Middle Eastern dancing, Japanese gardening and medieval reenacting. She started writing on a one-dollar bet with her mother and was thrilled to win that bet with the publication of her first book in 2001.

RAPPEL :
Il y a 50000 ans, la peuplade extra-terrestre des Centauriens découvrit une peuplade primitive portant en eux le gène de la navigation spatio-temporelle (nous, les Terriens).
Comme ils étaient les seuls à pouvoir voyager dans le temps et l'espace, ils mirent la Terre sous surveillance.
Un Sceau magique fut fabriqué et scindé en plusieurs fragments (chacun contenant de nombreuses données technologiques, historiques et philosophiques). Ces fragments furent cachés à différents moments de l'Histoire, à travers le continuum espace-temps.
Lorsque les Terriens seraient capables de voyager à travers le temps et de rassembler les différentes pièces du Sceau extra-terrestre, ils seraient alors dignes de contacter l'Assemblée Galactique.....
Dans un futur très, très proche, à l'intérieur d'un labo scientifique privé de Flagstaff, Etats-Unis, nous découvrons le général Beverly Ashton et la chercheuse en physique quantique Athéna Carswell.
Elles travaillent toutes deux sur le voyage temporel, à l'aide d'un diadème/amplificateur mental (initialement découvert à l'intérieur d'un vaisseau spatial échoué).
Elles ont le projet de réunir les différents morceaux du sceau cachés dans le temps.

Dans le TOME 1, LE VOYAGEUR DE L'OMBRE, elles font appel à Délia Sebastian et Jake Tyler pour former une équipe d'explorateurs temporels. Ces deux anciens militaires vont partir à travers le temps, en l'an 44 avant J.C., à la recherche du 1er morceau du Sceau magique extra-terrestre....

Le général Beverly Ashton et la chercheuse Athena Carswall envoient une 3ème voyageuse temporelle à travers le temps.
C'est Tessa Marconi, qui va se retrouver plus de 2000 ans en arrière, en 480 avant J.C., à la cour de Xerxès le Grand, empereur des Perses, à la veille de la célèbre bataille des Thermopyles...
Elle est chargée de retrouver un deuxième morceau du Sceau magique extra-terrestre...

Tessa va y rencontrer Rustam, un magnifique guerrier au charme irrésistible. Ce sera une lutte acharnée pour ne pas succomber à la tentation...
Mais Rustam cache bien son jeu, car il n'est absolument pas ce qu'il paraît être...

Quel divertissement avec ce 2ème tome des "Passagers du Temps"!
Encore meilleur que le tome 1...
Cette romance extra-temporelle, à l'époque Perse, est magique !
La fin du roman est étonnante !

(les 3 tomes peuvent être lus séparément, mais c'est mieux de les lire à la file pour mieux apprécier la trame de fond de l'histoire : le voyage spatio-temporel et la quête des différents fragments du Sceau extra-terrestre).

Yes, that's right: Rustam is an alien spy, alien meaning an alien species, an alien who is not from this planet. She's having sex with an enemy spy who isn't from Earth and who isn't a human being. Kinky. Also, maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation but wouldn't this be considered dereliction of duty?

Tessa has never felt such magical strength--or sexual prowess--as she feels in Rustam's presence. And as the conflict that grips Persia and Greece explodes, it becomes clear that their auras are strangely intertwined. Separately, they are powerless. But together, they just might save the world...and themselves.

Intertwined auras? Uh, right.

Despite the laughable premise, this was a fun read, certainly the best-written and most entertaining of the series so far.

This book was a pleasant surprise for me. It was a neat blending of a cute sci-fi aliens walking the earth and a beautiful strong woman with “special skills” being sent back in time to retrieve a special map piece. I really loved real parts of history woven into the plot as well as an overview of life at that time. Both characters had hidden agendas-and for good reason when they were unknowingly on opposing sides! I had hoped more would have been revealed in the flashbacks to the present day lab when someone was searching for something.... but the who or what/why was not really explained. Still, the action was great and the paranormal skills possessed by both characters was creative and seems to fit well into a continuing book series. It would be fun to see where this story line ends up eventually. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

To help humankind gain permission to space flight 12 pieces of a medallion have been spread out over the world. Shouldn't be that hard should it...except they are also spread over time as well and at least one of the alien races does not want earthlings to usurp their position as the only species who can start navigate. To ensure that this is the result Rustam was sent to find, and bring home one piece, thus ensuring Earth's failure. Our heroine is sent back in time to find this same piece and , of course the two meet.
This is a well written story with a bit of everything....time travel, aliens, history and the age old battle of the sexes.
I received a copy of this book from ebook discovery. This is my freely given honest review.

Ajaviiteromaan- Oh, Tessa teeb ajahüppe ja otse muistsesse Kreekasse, Pärsia impeeriumi, Xerxese õukonna orgia keskele ja muidugi kõige silmapaistvama mehe ette. See ärev tegelane Rustam teeb veel mingeid hookus pookuse trikke mida ainsana vist Tessa ei näe. Algus on päris hea, sest Tessal on tähtis missioon- väärtusliku pitsati tükikese leidmine ja oma aega naasmine.
Üllatuseks ei ole see selline lugemine, kus raamatu alguses on lõpp juba selge, päris hea.

A must read

A new science fiction story for me. I was absorbed into this world from the start. I really hope there are more. The magic and time travel is wonderful and consumed me from start to finish. A few years in our future, a lot of years in our past, and an alien species we can get to know.

Huh. After the first book in the series, this was surprisingly good. Then again, it was a different author so maybe that's why. The h gets zapped back in time to locate another piece of the gizmo and while there runs into the H, who just happens to be a trapped Centaurian (bad guys). Of course, how bad can he be when he's your soul mate eh? Poor guy was confuzzled about the h messing with his powers. The h was equally confused, and well, there's that whole attraction business.

There was a brief moment when I was like, eh? That was when the H's stallion put the h's mare in her place - showing her who was boss. Emmm... right. You know, offhand, I know of two breeding stallions who were nearly crippled by an irate mare. Clearly THEY lost that argument. ;D

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this story! Imagine a word where women hold the key to space travel and they have to time travel in order to contact the galaxy and let everyone know that the human race is ready to join in space travel. Now, imagine that you are one of these women and you end up thrown back in time to the Persian invasion of Greece only to meet a man who seems to have magical abilities. It's a great setting and a wonderful plot surrounding the conflicting orders and goals between said woman and man, who, oh by the way, happens to be an alien whose society is bent on preventing the human race from entering the galactic space community.

Tessa Marconi jumps back in time to the Persian Empire to recover a stone fragment that will help mankind in its quest to reach the stars. But opposed to her is court wizard Rustam, who turns out to be a Centauri agent sent to stop her. Rustam’s duty is clear, but his heart is captured by the lovely woman who possesses the ability to soar with him into space every time they make love. He understands the significance of this latent talent Tessa harbors, and it just might bring about their doom. An unusual twist on the time travel theme.

Tessa, a time-traveling human, and Rustam, a Centaurian navigator, have an immediate connection when they meet in the time of the Persian King Xerxes just before his famous attack against Athens. For too much of the book, Rustam flip-flopped between his indoctrinated anti-human beliefs and his feelings for Tessa. Naturally, things work out in the end and the two star-crossed lovers get a happy ending.

If their story continues, I would be interested in Tessa's experiences on Centauri.
