Small scale industries have come to occupy a pivotal position in the economic dynamism of developing countries. This is so because of the fact that unlike large industries. They are favored with some advantages like easiness in starting, small capital involvement, higher employment potentiality, short-run planning, low quotation period etc. Information technology brings the mobility of technology, skills know-how and information to producers, trades and consumers. IT provides a wide range of services. It can be used by the small-scale industries in their development in the positive way. It is sure that the small-scale industries will make use of the IT facilities and develop themselves. The Government should also encourage the small entrepreneurs to make use of Information Technology. This book is highlighting the areas of Information Technology development in the Small Scale Industries of the district called Sivasagar in Assam , India and also the position of technology advancement which is stepping into in business by adapting the new technological tools into the daily business.
