The is such a good book. It deals with 9 common areas people find themselves faced with. Very good biblical principles. I do wish he dealt more with the physical side of some of these issues. Depression and discouragement ARE helped by scripture but can also be greatly helped by diet, sleep and life choices.

Let me start by saying that I think the author is a Christian and means well. However, there is just so many issues with the book that despite some nuggets of truth and some good intentions I consider the book as bad. There is two main problems with the book: alliteration and forced Bible stories. The alliterations in this book are forced and make the author constantly try to run for things that rhyme. It feels as if he goes diving into his dictionary for hours trying to makes things work. After he has done so he is left with things that are simply no true or just out of place. For example, the author states that false accusations are motivated by slander. Aren't slander and false accusation the same or pretty similar? Another issue with the book is that some stories from the Bible are taken out of context and made to fit the topic been covered. I do not think the author says anything that is false, it is just not in the passage. This is dangerous and passages taken like this can be used to justify pretty much everything. For these reasons I would not recommend this book to a Christian, I will suggest looking for books an specific topics that you might be struggling with instead of reading this book.
