Includes three titles with many easy science experiments and activities that young kids can do using simple materials found in the house: Science With Plants, Science In the Kitchen, Science With Air.
Far too little white space and organization to appeal or to be easy to use, but I did find a few bits that I would use with children. I particularly liked New Plants from Old, in which carrot tops are planted in a saucer, etc. (You can plant them directly in dirt, too, in a houseplant planter.)
This is a great book for bringing science to a hands on level. Great activities to help children explore the world around and their own abilities. There are several differnt activites for one or two concepts so it is easy to pick and choose which activity is good for your child or circumstances. This should be a must have for any family with children studying science.
Most of these experiments and activities can be done with things you have around the house and most of them actually work!! Wonderful rainy day activities with preschool and school age children.
Cluttered and disorganized like many from this publisher. Also no experiments you could not think of by yourself or find elsewhere in a less crowded format.
