The color reproductions, around 100, make this book a five-star work. Haskell's text is also very good though at times it made me hungry for even more information. But those images are just fabulous.

A definitive study of the art of Charles Demuth and how his life influenced his art. I was looking for techniques in his watercolors of fruits and flowers. The illustrations are mainly in color and are well reproduced. A rather sad life he did indeed live.
