Glover and Law (both education, Nottingham Trent U.) report findings of a study of students in ten secondary schools, investigating students' thoughts about the context and process of their learning experience. The authors summarize their findings on the environment, challenge, practice, relationships, and overall educational attainment arising from a variety of approaches to teaching and learning, and outline some of the developmental work being done to equalize achievement between the genders.
