The "edgy and erotic" (Shannon McKenna, New York Times bestselling author of Tasting Fear) author of Tie Me Down and Full exposure offers another steamy novel of sex, lies, and sultry games. Burned once too often, true crime writer Lacey Richards has sworn off love. Instead, she explores her deepest desires through her anonymous- and very provocative-blog. Anonymous, that is, until her dark and ultrasexy neighbor discovers her dirty secret. Stockbrocker-turned-carpenter Byron Hawthorne gave up life in the fast lane, hoping to start over in a new city. When he learns his alluring neighbor is the one writing the sizzling blog that keeps him up all night, he can't resist offering to fulfill her fantasies in the flesh. But Byron isn't the only man provoked by Lacey's writing. Now Lacey doesn't know who she can trust-and who she can dare to tease.

I was interrupted a lot while reading this, and I've read a few things since then, so my recap memory is kind of foggy. I really liked the hero, former stockbroker turned carpenter, Byron (especially his oral enthusiasm and skills...he eagerly gives his lover lots of pleasure and multiple orgasms), but the heroine Lacey was really whiny, annoying, and TSTL. It’s got verrry steamy sex, including a smokin’ hot exhibition/voyeur mutual masturbation scene on opposing balconies, but no BDSM or anal sex. Besides not liking the heroine, the New Orleans sex trafficking/slavery plot seemed a bit forced, weak, and more like a sidebar, especially in comparison to Lacey’s erotic fantasy blog.
Overall, it’s a pretty decent erotic read with scorching hot sex and a yummy alpha hero, but I would have liked a bit more plot development and a little more to the ending. There also seemed to be a glaring Lora Leigh-esque content editing error towards the end that left me really puzzled, but by that point I didn’t care so much and had accepted that it was mostly about the sex.
Gotta give big props for the studtastic hunkcake on the cover! YOWZA!
Tease Me is a fast-pasted erotic thriller that has just enough spice to keep the story interesting but does not detract from the suspense of the main storyline. I enjoyed the fact that this was not a run-of the mill erotic romance and instead, was a sophisticated erotic thriller that offered more than just a few quick sexual dalliances.
Byron, an awol stock broker, has gone to New Orleans to start fresh as a carpenter. He finds himself intrigued by the mysterious author of the blog, What A Girl Wants. He is desperate to find his mysterious erotic fan-girl and full-fill her written desires. Little does he know, the sexy red-head across the courtyard is the illustrious author he has been panting for. (You know when you catch eyes with someone and time stands still? That’s kind of how I felt when I read Lacey seeing Bryon for the first time).
After noticing Byron watching her, Lacey, emboldened by her own fantasies, teases Byron with a little erotic tête-à-tête that turns from harmless fun into a raging inferno. (WARNING….This is the sexiest peeping tom scene I’ve read in awhile). HOT, HOT, HOT!
I’ll be honest I did have some trouble connecting with Lacey, I felt she “doth protested too much” with Bryon when it came to the DTR talk. (For the uninitiated, that’s Define the Relationship). I understand, once bitten, twice shy, but she went a bit overboard with her desire to have a physical but not emotional relationship. Ummm, hello, last time I checked that’s pretty impossible to do if you have lady parts. I also felt that after she was kidnapped Lacey changed her tune pretty quickly when Byron rescues her from forced sexual slavery. I think I would have liked less of Lacey’s “twice bitten” issues and had the story focus more on the suspense.
Okay, I know it’s weird to connect with the villain but I felt Gregory was an interesting character. Cold, creepy, and in charge of illegal sex trade (there I go with the bad boys again), his intensity to pursue Lacey added a interesting suspense angle that if not there I’m not sure I would have enjoyed this story as much.
Overall I enjoyed the suspense, fantasy, desire and emotion from Tease Me. This story has many dimensions and is a well-written, sophisticated erotic read.
Have you ever heard of the saying "never judge the book by its cover"? Well, it holds true for this book. It was the cover (and the nicely put blurb) that influenced me in purchasing this book. Sadly, the content was unable to rise to the challenge.
It seemed as if the author couldn't decide whether to write a thriller or an erotic story, so she basically decided to slap the two together and hoped for the best.
I love my thrillers and I love my erotica-content books, even better when they mix. But they have to be mixed right. Ms. Wolff got the ingredients wrong here. The two just didn't mesh. The sex kept on intruding on what would otherwise be a great thriller. The premise was wonderful, but Ms. Wolff got too involved in her erotic scenes to bring it to fruition. Add to that a TSTL heroine with a rather cuckoo reason not to trust men (we've established not all of them are the same), and the good guy kept paying for the sins of that one bad apple (if I may use the hero's words).
Yeah, the sex scenes were smokin' hot indeed, but - and I can't believe I'm saying this - too hot for the overall story to benefit from them.
My Review: Whoa this book was really amazing! It was extremely HOT as you would expect an erotic book to be, but it also was full of suspense and really incredibly deep characters which created a wonderful romantic story line.
Lacey and Byron live in the same apartment complex in New Orleans. Lacey is there to write an true-crime story about an infamous madame and prostitution ring. Byron moved there from NYC after deciding that he didn't need the stress any longer from his 7 figure stockbroker lifestyle. They discover each other while escaping onto their individual terraces which face each other. This initial romantic interlude when they didn't even actually come in contact with each other...OMG, it was so HOT! Whoa!!
The sexual chemistry between these two is sizzling. There is a LOT of sex in this book, but it never gets old. Every single scene is equally hot. Who knew that you could even come up with this many different ways to set up sex in a book. Bravo, Tracy Wolff...you ROCK as an erotica writer.
But this book is so much more. Lacey is dealing with the repercussions from an abusive relationship. It makes things difficult when dealing with a really alpha male who is worried for her life. Lots of emotion on both their parts in this book. Lacey is looking for purely a sexual relationship. She never wants to hand her emotions over to another guy while Byron knows that what they have is really something special and doesn't want to settle for anything less than everything.
There is also the suspense story line that comes from Lacey's investigations that turn up much more than a simple prostitution ring.
I really enjoyed this book. In fact, as soon as I finished it, I immediately ordered Tracy Wolff's other erotica novels. I like the way that she writes. Really just a purely enjoyable book all the way around!
THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN THIS BOOK THAT JUST AREN'T SEXY, LIKE VIOLENT CRIME, KIDNAPPING, AND ARSON? I AM FASCINATED BY THE AUTHOR'S MIND
It says something about my reading choices that I've reviewed many hundreds of books and have only now create a bookshelf for Contemporary Romance. Generally, I hate contemporary romance. It bores me. My interest in romance novels was born from an interest in fantasy and sci fi - if it's not paranormal romance, I just don't like it. So it's not really fair to take my word on it about this novel. Some people will love it. It has lots of sexual tension and explosive sex, plus a dangerous mystery that puts the couple in danger. I only read the first 6 chapters, but I skipped ahead, so I know how it ends. (Happily ever after, of course!)
The premise is that a true crime writer woman (who happens to also be a sex blogger in private) interests and is interested in the hot carpenter across from her apartment (and he happens to be Princeton educated and rich) while she is researching a true crime book about a prostitution ring in New Orleans.
I really liked the idea of the blog that Lacey had. It's an interesting outlet for a shy person and their sexual fantasy. Byron was a little creepy in the beginnig just watching his neighbor. Truely, if she didn't feel the same way he could have been like a peeping tom. But lucky for him she returned the interest. The sex trade aspect made me shiver just thinking about how scary the world is. When they kidnapped her I was praying that Byron would get to her in a couple of pages because that guy was super creepy. I really like Wolff's writing style and am looking forward to reading her next one.

Was a tease which did not wholly deliver. Lacey and Byron are neighbors in New Orleans. It begins as a tease with Byron in heat over Lacey's sexual fantasy blog and not knowing his neighbor is behind it. Lacey is involved heavily in researching a story of a very well connected call girl ring.
The two story lines are great teases which are not developed - especially the book research. Her research gets her into sex trafficking and of course the danger there in from the players. Don't expect uber realism but the ending was tied up with a pretty bow.
Hot erotic thriller! Good but not the best! In my opinion, instead of a 3*, it could have gotten a 4* had the heroine not been soooooo annoying with her traumas and relationship hang-ups. It was really waaaay too much - if I wanted to shake some sense into her, imagine the poor guy. Furthermore, it could have gotten 5* had the "thriller" part been a little more developed, or better developed, because this way it just seemed too obvious, easy and too unbelievable to be true... Overall though, this was a solid read for those who like to combine erotic romance and suspense....
Caught somewhere between a thriller and erotica (more heavily on the latter), Tease Me has a lot of steamy scenes just about anywhere you can think of. I'm more of a plot girl, so it wasn't very much for me. Lacey's fear of men got old fast, and after all the build up digging into the New Orleans crime scene, the turning point of the story where they meet the crime lord was resolved far too quickly.
Really enjoyed this story. It was intense in the story line with great sexual chemistry in the characters. Definitely a page turner. Worth every penny and second spent on it. I don't think it's going to be a series as there were no other characters that were left hanging so it's probably a stand alone story. Only mention that cause some people prefer series. This is a HEA type of book. No cliff hangers. Thank God! Hate those.
Really good book, with a bit of suspense involved. But that was a lame aspect of the story. Lacey was a bit annoying with her "never again will I lose myself to a man" crap, but I guess one could understand where she was coming from. It got old especially when Byron was such a sweetie! Lot of smoking hot intense sex! Over all a 4.5 read.
I did enjoy this book just not as much as I thought I would. It has a good story line but Lacy is way too whiny. She puts all of her ex-boyfriend Curtis’s faults on Byron the poor guy doesn’t really stand a chance. It takes him getting shot for her to realize what she has. But overall it was pretty good.
I liked it pretty well and it actually has a spin off w/ a character who you meet 'briefly' toward the end. Not sure if I will read the next one or not though. I read this one in ebook format on my nook.
Wow! I had no clue that this novel would be that interesting. I thought it'd just be another shortish novel with awesome kink scenes. I couldn't of been more wrong. It had everything a normal novel has in it, plus the kink. Totally worth the read!
This was HOT and had well-crafted writing but flawed structure. I enjoy plot with my erotica, but I left off feeling like these weren't completely woven together well. The baddies were REALLY bad, like get-into-the-reader's-brain-with-sexual-violation bad, and everything escalated to such extremes that I found that plot quite counterproductive to the usual goals of sexy libido-boosting erotic lit. That said, the sexy scenes were smokin', and the rescue strategy was clever and effective.
