The trouble with the whole Satanism question is that Christianity's view of "Satan" and Satanism is more colored by the views of the Essenes, Dante, and John Milton's Paradise Lost than by any reading of the Bible itself. The Essenes' view of punishment of the ungodly in the eternal fires of hell, a hell run by the chief evil spirit with his angels, is precisely that of Christianity today. However, nowhere in the Bible does it say anything of the sort. In fact, the Bible in the original languages does not mention "Satan" as an entity at all.

Take the Time to Seek the Truth
Dr. A. Nyland did a devil of a job explaining our misconceptions of Satan and many other stories. You may have grown up in a church setting, where you were taught many Bible stories and have even read through the Bible completely several times, but I was amazed how preconceived notions can taint what you read.
Keep an open mind and a spirit of seeking. "Seek and ye shall find." Dr. Nyland has done the work of opening the door so that we can enter into a realm were most cannot go due to language barriers. She shares her knowledge of languages in a non-threatening and very orderly fashion. I got out my several different translations and followed along with her Biblical quotes experiencing a good Bible Study. She footnotes her material citing her sources, sign of a true scholar.
You deserve to know the truth. Take the time to discover it!
