Field, Form and Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature, & Psyche

Rate this book
C. G. Jung emphasized the deep link to the physical world that exists for the collective unconscious and its archetypes. Our dreams and symbols, as well as the patterns of our behavior, are shaped by the fact that we are creatures of a material universe. Michael Conforti's research has been directed to understanding the nature of these links and patterns in the light of the new sciences-quantum theory, chaos theory, self-organization, and the new biology. Conforti's book successfully integrates this material to offer a new, exciting challenge to psychotherapy. It demonstrates that the study of consciousness cannot neglect the insights of the sciences and in doing so promises a unified view of mind and matter.

This book is revolutionary in the field of depth psychology. Move over old school...new school is coming with some friends!

This book suggests and give compelling evidence that our choices are more than just learned behaviors and habits...that there is more at work in our lives like psyche influencing our lives. By describing and supporting his theories, Dr. Conforti give us a look into how the "new sciences" give evidence of unseen "fields" interacting with us and helping shape our lives and the world we live in. Great stuff!

There is always something great happening in some corner of the world and it is the same way some authors profoundly do some analyses and put in their writing for the benefit of the readers!
This book was matching such expressions. You learn the advantage of forms and fields.
Why replicate is good for evolution, how the electromagnetic field helped mankind. Through analyses of archetypal fields and how it influences the nature of humans to fit into the society. Every movement is innate through archetypal fields by connecting into world fields to complete the process.
I Loved this book because it gave immense knowledge and the expression of the author was so good to read in a few days
Will visit a few times to know the exact truth!

Despite a promising beginning, this book fell apart in the second half. I found myself scratching my head and wondering why Conforti spent more time writing about scholars and scientists who studied patterns in nature--and the human psyche--than about those patterns themselves.

I wish he had provided more vignettes from his clinical experiences or devoted more time--as other Jungians do--to stories from myth and fairy tales and show how they relate to recurring themes in our lives today.

Personally essential reading in furthering our understanding of field attraction phenomena and the impact on human psychology. Conforti has a unique location of knowledge that brings leading theories in theoretical physics and psycho-spirituality to the edge of their merging, and he offers up hypotheses via his personal interpretation of what exists at their nexus. I really appreciate his contributions in this work.
