The book I read to research this post was Blackberry Bold Made Simple by Gary Mazo et al which is a very good book which I bought from Amazon. The book covers the models 9650 & 9700 which were available a couple of years ago. Even though these models are no longer available brand new they are quite sought after as a cheap smartphone. Thanks to Blackberry Server Enterprise which is software that routes calls to a blackberry or landline via a computer, Blackberries in general are regarded as a good business phone. The iPhone is its closest rival. There is also a free version of Blackberry Server which is suitable for a small company and only has limited features. This book takes you through a lot of the features via tutorials and is over 500 pages so is quite comprehensive. The Bold works with up to 10 email addresses and if you use Server Enterprise will work with 1 corporate email address. The default for checking your email for the phone is every 15 minutes but this can be changed. Downloads are limited by 3G as it was before 4G came out and in Britain your phone provider is normally Vodaphone with Blackberry Bolds. Around the world there are various providers like AT & T which is one of the ones available in America. The Bold rivals small computers and having one is almost a way of life. There is an alarm to wake you, then there are memo lists and to do lists. You can set an alarm to give you a reminder message to do something at a set time. There is a trackball for getting around the screen and as with a lot of blackberries a quite comprehensive keyboard. Incidently you can get unlimited SMS & MMS messages for quite a small surcharge which works well for a lot of people.
