There appeared to be no editing for this book. Numerous spelling mistakes and grammatical errors on every single page.

Whoa! What a heavy book! Short and quick to read and I will go ahead and mention the typos and grammar and spelling errors right away. This book needed an editor. Or at the very least, a second pass by the author to make sure it made sense the way it was written.
Now, back to the heaviest subject material I've attempted to read thus far...you have to wonder if this is exactly how every pedophile in the world was "born." They were young once and someone took advantage of them in some heinous way and then that led them on a path to doing the same thing to some other young and unsuspecting and unprotected person.
It was sickening to read the thoughts that came to the man's mind. But, you have to know he was also "Kid" in the previous chapter so you knew he was already tormented.
I was thankful that this is a fiction tale. I don't think I could stomach reading someone's thoughts like this in real life. But, it gives an additional angle on abuse. What does it do to the victim when they are too young to advocate or talk about it? Do they know they were abused? Do they have trust issues that seem unfounded? Do they react to certain situations drastically when they are otherwise not so drastic? These are the things that showed up in this story. A young girl, abused by her father, set on a path of self-destruction, self-loathing the rest of her life. She did nothing wrong. She was not complacent, but she paid the price her entire life for what he chose to do to her.
I hate that this is something that humans are capable to doing to one another. Especially detestable to harm a child. They are our most precious treasures.

Rating this book is hard, it is straight horror. Not scary ghost, goblins, or whodoneit killer horror. This is gut retching OMG real life horror. I thought it was about a married man who became addicted to porn on the web, it is so much than that. Yet, I could not put it down. I had to see how it ended. The writing was very conversational, like I was just "hanging out" and chatting with this guy. Occasionally this man rambling a bit, but that is just like real like. I wanted to understand why he ended up as he did. But there is no understanding. I was glad to hear (read) from another point of view later in the book. But, while I gave this book 5 stars I did so because the book is amazingly written and so distrubing I needed to know how it ended. But, under no conditions is this book meant for everyone. I am not even sure I should have read it. To be perfectly honest.

Thank goodness this was just a freebie download from b&n and I didn't pay for this trash. Nothing but absolute filth. It seems the "author" tried to throw some things in just for shock value. That, paired with poor spelling and grammar, made this a terrible read.

This is a book I wish I could un-read, and not because of the writing style or even the subject matter but because it was all too real, and thus disturbing. It spans the evolution of a man who dips his toe into a wading pool of Internet pornography and some destructively deviant part of gets caught in the riptide of child porn and surrenders to it in the most disturbing way possible: not only by becoming an active pedophile but by involving his own prepubescent child.

Written as a first-person journal it is filled with the same kind of writing mistakes that even college graduates make when they're writing a first draft, the writing style lends an immediacy and realism to the writing that gives it more of a chilling edge. Its slow, painstaking progression into the protagonist's descent offers what seems a credible insight into how the mental disease progresses.

Perhaps one of the most disturbing things is that the details are so defined that I found myself wondering if the author has first-hand experience or just a vivid and well-informed imagination. I pray for the second. It is a compelling read but one that will not be easy to get through, nor should it be.

Warning: This book is not for everyone!

As someone else has said, this is a true horror book. This isn't your Stephen King or your Dean Kootz. This book follows one man in the descent into sex addiction, the lengths he'll go to to get his thrill and the affects it has on his family. It's dark, harrowing and morbid and with scenes which some readers won't like. It's a tough read but, at the same time, it draws you into the story. I didn't think I'd like it, and I certainly didn't think I'd finish it in under a week.

There are some grammar and spelling problems but I couldn't decide if these were a failure by the author to catch them or deliberately left in as the book is written from a first person POV in the style of a diary. Overlooking those, this is a powerful 5 star book and a must read for anyone who wants to know about the darkness of addiction and the lives it can shatter.

If you're looking for a story with a difference, and can stomach strong scenes, then give it a go. This book was a free download from Smashwords.

A very dark and disturbing read. Not for the faint of heart.

Unfortunately, it was terribly written - the hundreds of spelling errors, incorrect grammar and incorrect words made it a very hard read for me. There were a few sentences and paragraphs that I had absolutely no idea what the author was trying to say. I would have given this book 4 stars, and possibly 5 stars, if it had been proof-read and edited before publication.

Skip this book. Seriously. It's absolutely horrible. Not only that, I haven't come across a book that has an infinite number of grammar and spelling errors as this one. Good grief, the very first sentence in the novel has a spelling error.

Forget "Spell Check" people, get an editor, a friend, or a family member to read it for errors.

This was a freebie off of Amazon and when I saw the word addiction, I wasn't thinking porn. It's not that I'm a prude, but when it comes to child porn and the way that things went I was so tempted to put it down. It didn't go into that many details. Then when I read his daughters perception it was a little more comfortable to see it from her angle.

even though I read this book several years ago (before I used Goodreads), this book is still with me. I found his addiction snowball to be so profound and can see how many addictions can have the same effect. it opened my eyes to how casual behavior can turn into obsessive addiction. Very powerful. some scenes were very disturbing.

I started to read this because it sounded interesting.. and that it was to say the least. This book touches an extremely touchy subject. I wouldn't recommend this book nor would I ever consider reading it again.

WARNING: Not for the faint of heart. Do not read this is you are squeamish.

I could barely fight through reading this book, it is intense in every sense of that word. I really don't even know how many stars to give it, if any at all so I'm not even messing with that...

Well written but a disturbing subject matter. It makes you think about how anyone, even the person next door, can turn into a monster.

It was a better book than I thought it would be, but it is not for everyone. Creepy subject matter to say the least....also, the spelling and grammar are atrocious!

A very good read

At times, I wanted to put it down because it got pretty graphic. It's all part of the sickening and tragic story.
