This set includes a book with recipes from various inns and restaurants in North America (Canada, Bermuda, United States). That might just inspire a romantic getaway since you'll feel like you know these inns after making their dishes. An index with contact information for each contributing inn is located in the back of the book.

The music is classical and well-chosen to be suitable background sound for couple cooking. Each piece is performed by the San Francisco String Quartet, which was founded by Sharon O'Connor herself back in 1975. Listeners will enjoy well-known classical tunes with this selection.

Each recipe feels like a romantic dinner just by reading it. The ingredients are straight-forward items you'd find in nearly any grocery market, but the steps to make those ingredients into a real meal will take more effort than your usual Hamburger Helper. It will be worth the work. The most important part of the cooking process is that you and your better half will be together, enjoying the music and recipes together.

I'll admit, I'm one of those people who relishes in spending just as much time preparing a meal as devouring it. Not everyone feels that way though, even if you are cooking alongside the one you love accompanied by gentle classical music. Overall, this is a darling idea and a well-designed set. I think it is a uniquely thoughtful wedding gift and a sweet present that encourages more "quality" time in the kitchen with the one you love.

I gave this set four out of five stars because as nice as this set is, it does take a leap of faith to try recipes from a book marketed on its romantic appeal.

I love the music and the recipes are good too, but a little putsy if you ask me. We got this before we were even married!
