I remember reading this in the mid-1980s & loving it but for some reason passed it on. I stumbled on another "Pennypincher book" recently which reminded me to look for it, I couldn't remember author or title but remembered the similar cover image.

I read this sweet little story, written by my cousin once removed, when I was a little girl. It describes tough times growing up and is great for girls approaching teenagehood.
