By the title, I was expecting more advice and tools and not just an account of someone that worked with unions, so in that respect it was kind of disappointing.

I think I went into this book with a misunderstanding of what it is about and that coloured my opinion of it. It is a lot more memoir than I was prepared for. I did enjoy it and garner some interesting tidbits here and there, but I don’t think I would have picked it up had I known what I was in for.

I loved the Canadian perspective and content though! It’s tough to find non-American stuff and this book fits the bill in that category.
