POETRY The large size of Leela is a statement that poetry is still essential in our cultural survival; it is as vital as other literary genres and creative forms.
Every poem, however small, starts on a new page. Each is a unique experience and given equal importance. Thus the table of contents is arranged in alphabetical order.
POETRY Leela forefronts the poem, not the poet. The name of the poet comes at the end of the poem.
NO The poems are not divided into sections or separated under author names, freeing the reader of any preconceived notions about the poem.
Blank space on the page may display an imprint of an ancient script. Meant less as design, these features form the soil of the reader's poetic experience; they are the multidimensional joys of reading a poem. Leela includes 119 imprints of ancient scripts and 49 bio sketches of great poets and epics.
