Nobody knows who the WATCHERS are. But they are around us. They observe us. They see the things we can't see....
Nobody says it, but everybody knows: Adam Sarno caused the death of his best friend. He's been told that Edgar fell through the ice and drowned. But Adam has no way of knowing what really happened... until he finds a camera that can show him the past.
Now the truth is about to be unleashed... and Adam isn't the only one who will suffer the consequences.
Lerangis's work includes The Viper's Nest and The Sword Thief, two titles in the children's-book series The 39 Clues, the historical novel Smiler's Bones, the YA dark comedy-adventure novel wtf, the Drama Club series, the Spy X series, the Watchers series, the Abracadabra series, and the Antarctica two-book adventure, as well ghostwriting for series such as the Three Investigators, the Hardy Boys Casefiles, Sweet Valley Twins, and more than forty books in the series The Baby-sitters Club and its various spin-offs.[1] He has also written novels based on film screenplays, including The Sixth Sense, Sleepy Hollow, and Beauty and the Beast, and five video game novelizations in the Worlds of Power series created by Seth Godin.[2] As a ghostwriter he has been published under the name A. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in biochemistry, while acting in musicals[4] and singing with and musically directing the a cappella group the Harvard Krokodiloes,[5][6] before moving to New York. He worked there as an actor[7] and freelance copy editor for eight years before becoming an author.[8] In 2003, Lerangis was chosen by First Lady Laura Bush to accompany her to the first Russian Book Festival, hosted by Russian First Lady Lyudmila Putina in Moscow.[9][10]Authors R. This book captured my full attention from the start. From finding the "camera" to the shocking ending that developed.Going back in time to try to change the past and save his best friend (edgar)from falling into the thin ice of the lake and dying. To see if he is successful then read Watchers by Peter Lerangis
i love this book it is very intresting, how they can go back in time see and try too help there friend from dying i cant wait to find out if it really works.... ?
It's no masterpiece - but it's exactly the kind of thing I would've loved when I was younger and honestly I still enjoy it a lot. I love time travel when it's done well, and this one really gave me what I wanted. I was able to predict a lot of it - but when I was a kid I probably wouldn't have.
I don't know if there's a big payoff for the whole "Watchers" thing or if it's just a series of twilight zone-esque stories. Either way I'm into it.
I overall really liked this book, and, although it was a short read, I really liked the characters, and the story line went well for me. I would recommend this book for people who like mystery books.
This book was hard for me to put down. I really loved the way it ended, it left me with so many conflicted emotions. I didn’t know whether to feel glad or horrified... this story is living on in my own imagination, picturing all the different ways the story could continue from where it left off.
Adam finds a video camera that sees four years in the past he can change, and Watchers' postscripts to chapters "accept" him like boy in previous book. I guessed girl's secret here, not secrets in previous book, so I could try next book.
My 6th grade teacher was reading this to us but never finished the book and for years I was trying to find out the name of the book. Finally was able to finish the book after 15+ years and it was really good!
The book Rewind (Watchers #2) by Peter Leranis is an interesting book. The book is about a boy named Adam Sarno who had caused the death of his best friend named Edgar, but he doesn't know the whole story and how it happened. Then every thing changes when he finds a video camera. That is why you should read this book.
In the Watchers Adams find a tape that views the past and see his friend dies and now hes trying to change it.
I didn't like this book cause i didn't understand it.Also the author did put like specific thing and added all theses new people and it just got me confused.
If you like books that add more people and books that make you think really hard then i would recommend this book .
I read this in elementary school and can remember the story very well...an awesome book about The Watchers who can see into other worlds and even into the past, tells the story of Adam's new video camera that can rewind reality.
