After a fateful meeting on a besieged space station, everything changed.
What followed was an episode of crazy, post-danger intimacy with two insanely hot men.
I thought they were alphas.
It turned out they were something much worse—deltas.
“Alphas are territorial toward omegas under their care,” Doctor Lilly said when explaining my fate to me. “Deltas are worse.”
I read the information pack she gave me, filed an intergalactic restraining order, and fled.
When they turned up at my practice seeking therapy, I convinced myself that everyone had gotten it wrong.
They hadn’t.
Now the two insanely hot delta males are determined to claim me as their mate.
Publisher's Note: The Controllers series is an action-packed, dark romance series with a unique take on the omegaverse genre. It contains detailed intimate scenes and triggers.
In a secret garden hidden behind a wall of shrubs and trees amid a tiny English village, you'll find L.V. Lane's writing den, where she crafts spicy adventures...Magical and mythical creatures, wolf shifters, and alphas of every flavor give our sweet, sometimes willful omegas and heroines a guaranteed HEA. If you like my books, you might also like my contemporary pen name, Verity Arden!

This was the first series that I read by LV Lane and I was instantly hooked by this wonderful, dystopian world that she’s created! If you’re looking for a steamy Omegaverse with a hint of sci-fi, I highly recommend this whole series.
Those familiar with the Controllers series likely remember the gamma therapist Abby and the two deltas who were always around her. I was really curious about their dynamic and in Savage Control we finally get their story. I enjoyed the way L.V. Lane created a new type of bond and intimacy with these three. The guys',ahem, equipment is also quite unique. There's a lot of action and the story furthers the overarching plot of the war between the Uncorrupted and the Empire. I will say that I would have preferred more of a focus on the relationship and more development there. It felt like a very fast burn to me and, while I definitely saw the physical side of things, I needed a bit more of an emotional connection and definitely more of an exploration of the psychic bond between these three. I'm also quite intrigued by thetas and would love a story focused on that dynamic. Overall, I'm really impressed with the elaborate world Ms. Lane created in this series. The plot is unique and action packed and I love that we get to keep up with some characters from previous installments in the series. I can't wait to see what comes next for the Controllers.
Content Advisory Dark, graphic content, violence, and gore. If you are seeking enthusiastic consent, this is NOT the book for you.
The Controllers series is based around forced intimacy due to the character's dynamic status, where omegas are allocated to an alpha controller and have no say in this.
This book features a gamma with two deltas. The two delta males are in a pre-existing relationship. Gammas and deltas are the two rarest dynamics and are compatible in the way alphas and omegas are. Deltas have hooks in place of knots. There is no pheromone influence but more of a psychic awareness/attraction toward each other. In place of heat, they have something similar called a frenzy, during which they form a life bond.
I went into this one blind – not having read the previous books in The Controllers series. It can be read as a standalone, but LV Lane suggests the series be read in publication order for the best reading experience. To me, it did not matter one bit. I absolutely loved the story and did not feel like I missed out. There were references to some wider events happening outside the realm of this book, but they did not change my level of enjoyment – in fact, it made me want to go and read the entire series.
Sure, this is ultimately a romance, but I loved the fast-paced action and science-fiction elements. It is a very intriguing concept that a virus has changed humans to either split into vastly different designations with specific attributes or had no effect at all, and that these two factions are at war with one another. Fascinating! I also loved the unique dynamic pairings, specifically the special Gamma/Delta bond in this book.
The s3x scenes are hot. You have two delta males with some very special adornments to their peens (hooks!), plus they are very dominant and have filthy mouths. There are MFM, MM (the deltas are in a relationship before meeting their gamma), and MMF scenes. The physical attraction caused by their compatible designations makes for some intense scenes.
I loved this book and will go back to read the rest of the series as soon as I have a break in my TBR.
Abby is a Gamma it’s similar to an omega but Gammas are not influenced by pheromones or scent. She meets Kade and Jordan during an attack at the station they are at temporarily. They are Deltas and Gammas were made for them and their hook. They take Abby to a safe room to wait for help against the attack. Things get a little spicy at this point and she does things that she never thought she would do. When she returns home she can’t get them out of her head, they want her and need to find her.
I liked Jordan and Kade’s relationship. They banter and have one goal in mind. Finding their mate and keeping her. I enjoyed a different view in the Omegaverse world with the different dynamics.
This one is a >CHEF's KISS< all around: the writing, the plot, the characters. PERFECT. I cannot overstate just how MUCH I looooved this one. I didn't think any dynamic could equal my adoration of the Alpha/Omega dynamic, but dayummmm, this story detailing the relationship of 2 male Deltas & their Gamma . . . . WOW! I have moved this dynamic firmly into a position right next to Alphas & their Omegas. Ms. Lane IMO has done a beautiful job of crafting the perfect balance of lust & caring, action & sizzle, suspense & mystery, shock & betrayal. All skillfully blended with wonderful writing that I found immediately swirled me away into this world of her creating & trapped me there willingly from the first to the last. Completely unputdownable. I was totally enthralled & HAD to know what would happen next, what decisions would Abby, Kade & Jordan make & what would the ultimate outcome be? And I was deeply, deeply invested in these 3 people & yearned, hoped, for them to reach a HEA. Together. This one is sizzling hot, has a mesmerizing plot, fascinating characters & writing that takes the reader smoothly from reality into the authors Omegaverse world. Simply stellar & I can NOT wait for the next in this series.
First chapter in and I was hooked. When the station Abby is working on gets attacked, she finds herself locked in a room with 2 Deltas. Being a Gamma, Abby finds herself doing the unthinkable and things get spicy.
But things aren’t always that simple and what Abby thought was a one time thing, turns out to be so much more….especially if Kade & Jordan have anything to say about it.
I loved the sci-fi elements and fast paced action. The unique pairing of Gammas and Deltas, so different yet some what similar to Alphas and Omegas. I loved the dynamics between Abby, Kade, & Jordan. And the heat 🔥🔥🔥, L.V. Lane brings it and then some.
I really like the series, but unfortunately, this book is my least favorite. I'm obviously in the minority, but I didn't really care for Abby, Kade or Jordan. I didn't connect with any of them and I didn't feel any chemistry between them. I found the book boring, although I did think it started out good.
The wait for another Controller book was long, the result a little lacking. The few infos on the "new" dynamics are repeated several times, the emotional connection and the story all over felt a little rushed. A lot of scenes were crammed into this book to accommodate the timeline of the previous books, but that didn't help. Their problems were not solved, but shoved to the side, after they got connected without any kind of (even halfhearted) explanation. We never got insight into their past, only vague statements, which is kind of a shame and made this book feel like only half done. Which, on a sidenote, I find doubly disappointing as it was the first book not available Kindle unlimited (and I very much looked forward to see more of this world and the other unique dynamics, aside from the usual alpha/omega books).
I found this to be the most disappointing one in the series. I really enjoyed the previous books and Lily’s story in particular. This one I didn’t feel like the relationship was developed at all and the sex scenes weren’t all that great for me. I didn’t really feel any passion with them and a lot of it was glossed over. I like MM books, so I was excited that she was incorporating that aspect into this book but she pretty much skimmed over the MM sex part. I just didn’t find that I cared that much about any of the characters we didn’t get to know them that well. It felt rushed.
It's finally here! I have been looking forward to this newest addition to The Controllers series with baited breath for sooooo long and I'm really happy to find that it was worth the wait! But who am I kidding? L.V. Lane never does me wrong haha.
Savage Control is book number 9 in this series, and even though it can be read as a standalone - I highly recommend that you read the whole series from start to finish. The Controllers series have characters throughout that cameo in the books, so for example Abby, we have already seen her before in Lillian's books, because she's Ryker's therapist. And Jordan & Kade we have also already met, because they have done jobs with Ryker etc and they also work for Lucian (who also has his own book) - you get my point! Hehe.
This is one of the things I really like about this series though, the fact that we get to know different characters throughout the series, even when it's not their book, so that when they do get their book, we get scenes from their point of view which we have already seen before and we already have a small relationship with them.
Now, Abby is a Gamma and Jordan & Kade are Deltas. This book is super sexy and it is a MMF book with both action, love and fun. :)
As always L.V.Lane writes battle scenes extremely well in my opinion, and you feel like you are right there with everyone. Abby gets in trouble and our dear Deltas has to get her out of it. This leads to all sorts of hotness but also shows us just what Deltas are capable of and also how much they are willing to do for their Gamma.
If I had to pick on something and the reason why this book didn't make 5* from me, it was that I just didn't feel like we went deep enough. I didn't think we explored the relationship and what exactly is so special about Delta/Gamma enough. I was left feeling a little disapointed because of this, and though I enjoyed the book, it's well written and I aboslutely LOVE this universe that L.V.Lane created - this particualr addition to the series just didn't hit the magic spot for me.
I loved Kade & Jordan together, I loved all three of them together - but I still felt like something was missing. Maybe it was too little description of the hook? x) It was something... it's hard to put my finger on it, and it's a shame because the book is good and the series as a whole is a million stars from me, but alone this book just didn't manage to reach me in the same way the others have.
The last book of the controllers series that have been written (I’m hoping for some more 😉 )
If you’ve read the series you will already know and have met Abby who is the therapist for Ryker (love him and his crazy ways) and the deltas Kade and Jordan after they have been involved in a few different things with Ryker and Ethan and then their boss Lucian.
This book overlaps different events from the series but shown in the perspective of our 3 main characters and where they fit in. I love where this book started as it was a detail you didn’t know about when reading the other books.
I love the deltas and if you love dark romance you will love them too. They are unhinged and do not take no for an answer. When they see something they want they are going to get it by any means necessary even if the answer is no 🖤 so don’t go into this book thinking anything other than they are psychos but very much loveable 1s 😉
There are a few twists and turns in this book, as some of the plot you know from the other books in the series but when you get to what’s happening behind the surface it changes quite abit and drags you deeper into the story.
This is probably 1 of my favourite groups throughout the controllers after the Ryker, Lilly and Ethan group 🖤
With it being in the same world as the controllers you know it’s going to be very spicy 🥵 and with the added bonus of MM it’s off the charts yummy 🤤
Such a good series to read. It calls to my little depraved heart loving dark romance 😈
It seems like it’s been over a year since the last book in The Controllers series came out. It’s hard to tell because they’ve been republished.
This installment was okay. There wasn’t any new information in the back story. This book is set during three books earlier in the series.
The sex was okay except for one thing - shifting POVs. I hate shifting points of view during one sex scene. While this wasn’t a shift every paragraph it did happen every few paragraphs.
Will I keep reading the series? Yes. I’m invested in the back story.
Its not often you read Omegaverse books and it'll go into other dynamics other than A/B/O. This series is one that features other dynamics but since the focus tends to be A/B/O, I don't often pay much attention to them. However, this book focuses on the Deltas and Gammas and they are rather an interesting pairing. Very intense and I really have a lot of 18+ questions to ask, LOL.
Abby is a Gamma, who happens to be a therapist who works for the government to counsel Alphas soldiers. On her way home, she is waylaid on a space station where things go from weird to life threatening crazy. Lucky for her, she runs into Jordan and Kade. Thinking they were just regular Alphas, she gives into their seduction after having to survive getting killed. Talk about an adrenaline rush. However, they are not Alphas, but Deltas, and they have already connected to her and will stop at nothing to find her again to finalize their bond.
The relationship was just intense and HOT, HOT, HOT. Man...like I mentioned earlier, I have tons of question of what goes where and how does that work, LOL. I enjoyed every moment of this book and cannot recommend it enough. Great, great addition to the series for sure!
I read a lot of Omegaverse books, as it’s one of my favorite tropes, but it’s rare you read Omegaverse that go into other dynamics other than A/B/O and human. This book introduces us to Thetas, Deltas and Gammas with the main focus on Deltas and Gammas and their rather interesting pairing which create very intense relationships.
Abby is a Gamma, who is a therapist who works for the government to counsel Alphas soldiers. On her trip back to her home planet and a prospective job, she is waylaid on a space station where things go from weird to life threateningly crazy. Lucky for her, she runs into Jordan and Kade. She gives into their seduction after having survived a near death experience so blame it on the adrenaline rush! However, they are not Alphas, but Deltas, and they have already connected to her and will stop at nothing to find her again to finalize their bond.
The relationship was just as intense and HOT, HOT, HOT as I have come to expect from LV lanes books! She is one of my favorite authors and her books never disappoint. I always look forward to her next release. I enjoyed every moment of this book and cannot recommend it enough. Great, great addition to the series for sure!
I absolutely love LV lanes books! They are AMAZING! She is one of my favorite authors and her books never disappoint. I always look forward to her next release. I really loved the world in this controller series. Every one I have read always takes me in an adventure. This story is balanced so well between caring, sizzling hot, action, and a bit of mystery.
These characters are just yum!! Their dynamic was so beautifully told and they all work so well together. I was entranced by the characters Abby, Kade & Jordan. The bond between these characters was so unique and I couldn’t get enough of them. I really liked the growth from Abby and how Kade and Jordan helped her throughout.
The spice? Don’t even get me started on how good it was. I mean daaaammmmmmmnnnnnnn it was HOT. There were some unique things…. Lol. Their physical attraction with the connections they made to each other was oh so good.
Overall, such a great book! I loved this book and can’t wait to see what more LV Lane writes. Her stories are so unique I just love all of them. I will definitely be reading more of her books soon.
I loved every Controller Series book by this author and OH my, this new book lived up to this phneominal series. It was so fantastic that Abby (Ryker’s Therapist, Ryker is from a previous book) is getting her own story. This Omegavers took another spin that totally made my head spin because, Abby is not an Omega but a Gamma and Kade and Jordan are not Alphas but Deltas. Oh by the way, Delta’s have hooks not knots. OMG! It was different in dynamics but almost the same in the controlling and dominant roles as any Alpha and let me say sexy as hell. It was also heartwarming to have Ryker and Ethan in this book as well. Always nice to see old characters from previous books incorporated. It is like they never left us. I so love that!
I also loved everything about this book, the storyline, sexy, domineering Deltas and one sweet Gamma, Abby. I would highly recommend you read every Controller series book from this Author and this one included. You definitely will not be disappointed.
I don't think I have ever read a Gamma/Delta book out of all the books I have read in my life. At lease not any like this one anyways. I absolutely loved this book. I can tell you that I want to read more after reading this book!
I have read most of the Controller series books so far. I had planned to get them all read before this one released but... I didn't get that accomplished. I read this one anyways. Even though I wasn't all caught up on the series I didn't get lost or wasn't confused on any parts of the book. It can be read as a stand alone without feeling like your missing something.
One of the things I love so much about L.V. books is her world building. I love the story line she has going on in this series. I can't wait to see where it goes from here. I hope we see more Gamma/Delta's in the series along with maybe the Thetas. I was intrigued by them also, so I am hoping we get their story told in this series also. I loved that we saw a few of the characters from other books in the series also.
Readers are introduced to Abby, Jordan, and Kade in the tenth book of the Controller Series By L.V. Lane. This novel starts off with a bang. An attack at the remote spaceport. Kix29. Abby, a gamma, gets locked in a closet with the two deltas Jordan and Kade. What ensues is what erotic dreams are made of.During the attack both Deltas get quite attached to Abby. The feeling is quite mutual. Though it is not known to all parties just yet. Abby finally gets to her posting on the planet Tolis. She is a therapist to the military. Taking care of the traumas that occur in battle and planetside. Abby meets all types of castes, from Alphas to Betas to Deltas. Somehow Jordan and Kade have gotten themselves on her patient list Abby sent them an order of protection. She was overwhelmed by what she experienced on Kix29. But through their sessions, Abby comes to love Jordan and Kade. A stronger bond grows between the three of them. One that makes their dynamic mating even more important.
Anyone who's read The Controllers was probably in the same boat at as me and super intrigued when we met Ryker's gamma therapist Abby and the two deltas that were sniffing around her 😏 and man Liv didn't disappoint!
Everything about this story was perfection, the storyline, the character development, the world building - I literally can't get enough of this series, or any series by Liv!
The bond between the little gamma and her two deltas was so unique, I couldn't get enough! Jordan and Kade know what they want as soon as they set their sights on Abby, and in true delta fashion they omit the truth a little in order to persuade her to take a chance on them 😂 and they're not about to let her get away easily 😈
Abby was just wonderful, it was lovely to see her growth throughout this story, and with the help of Jordan and Kade!
I cannot rate this entire series high enough, and I'll always be wanting more! 🖤
I really enjoyed reading this book and I loved that we get to explore the rare dynamics of the Delta and Gamma’s and the bond that connects them… Jordan and Kade are Deltas who have been together since their youth once they recognise each other’s dynamics and unlike Alphas they formed an unbreakable bond between them, but while on a job to retrieve a package on a space station they find themselves in a life and death situation but happily trapped with gamma Abby who they recognise as their mate… I quite liked the broody Jordan and carefree Cade and their seriously hot and steamy methods as they convince Abby that she belongs to them… But with the background battle that is between the Empire and the Uncorrupted looming close by that Jordan and Cade will do anything to save Abby definitely made for an suspenseful and intriguing read…
Deltas and Gammas, similar to Alphas and Omegas except Deltas come in pairs and they have hooks rather than knots!
And boy, I was certainly hooked!
Abby is a Gamma, a therapist to military personal. When the station she's on is attacked, she is rescued and trapped with Jordan and Kade, who she initially believes are Alpha's and no threat to her or her planned out careful life.
However, the two men are Delta's, lovers and friends and they recognise Abby for what she really is, their mate.
Jordan and Kade are savage in their pursuit of Abby and her initial resistance is futile.
Hot and spicy. Possessive and determined men. Mating. L.V. Lane at her finest.
Please note the warnings at the beginning of the book.
This is another addition to LV Lane's Controllers series, and what a gem. Abby is a gamma, stuck literally in the middle of space, when the station she's on is attacked. She's saved by what she thinks are alphas... only to be proven wrong. This is a wonderfully written, quick read with helpings of steam. Abby is strong and independent, without being that annoying 'can't do anything wrong' character, while both Kade and Jordan are more than capable of keeping up with her. This is a poly relationship - if that's not your thing, then be forewarned. While there is a trigger warning at the start of the book about 'dark' content, I would definitely classify it as more grey. There is some gore and violence, but not directed at Abby. All in, a wonderful read, and highly recommended.
This story, like all of Ms. Lane's other works, is fabulous! It starts off with a bang and the intensity level never decreases. It's dark and delicious, and so beautifully written. The story can be read as a stand alone, but this world is complex and there is a lot going on so I think it should be read in the series order. I love that Ms. Lane has taken the AOB dynamic and expanded on it to create men who are more Alpha than even the Alphas, and given them a woman who's strong enough to challenge and accept them. This is a must read series for anyone who loves the Omegaverse, but it also has a lot of sci-fi romance elements that I think will appeal to any lovers of that trope as well. It was fabulous!
The Controller series is one of my favorites from this author, and I have been patiently waiting for this story. I was not disappointed. As always the word building is awesome, and the violence of this world is not glossed over. I did want to find out more of Kade and Jordan's background and role in the military struggle with the uncorrupted. Ms. Lane adds a new dimension to the series by giving us more on the two deltas and their gamma mate that we met in previous Controller stories. I loved all three of the main characters and the way they interact, with many steamy scenes involving "special" equipment. Although I would have liked to learn even more about a their unusual bond I enjoyed this addition to the series and highly recommend it.
Great, fast sci-fi read, sadly no epilogue. Would have like more of a back story and endepth look into their life together. Likable characters main and side (except for Abby's brother). Now want to read Lilly, Ryker, & Ethans book.
Thethas: full of elitist ideology, seek money & don't play well with others, keep to themselves, superiority complex, Delta: have a hook, always in pairs, Gammas: rarest, don't produce pheromones or affected by them, no heat, awareness of others emotional state,
Abby: gamma, parents both thethas, therapist mainly for alphas
Jordan: delta, short fuse, insomniac, 5 yrs older than Kade, blonde Kade: delta, built like a tank, brunette - Both work on the side for the government & illegally for Lucian Banner
This is my first book from the controllers series and while it took me a little bit to get use to the new dynamics that come into play I absolutely loved this book and will ow be reading more from this series. Abby the fmc was such an enjoyable main character, I loved that she wasn’t forced by her instincts to like the two mmc and the relationship between the three Mc developed naturally through out the book. LV lane never lets me down and this read was filled with the perfect spice to plot ratio that had me unable to put down this book for even a second. All in all I loved these new dynamics and can’t wait to read more.
L V Lane has a way with building worlds and this one is no exception. This one follows Abby – a so-called Gamma. They are similar to Omegas but not influenced the same way by pheromones or scent but they’re attracted to Deltas and a perfect fit for the Delta’s hook. Jordan and Kane are Delta’s looking for their mate in all the chaos that surrounds them. The dynamic and spice between the three of them are HOT and the interaction between them is great. Please note this book is a part of a series but can be read as a standalone but you’ll get a better picture of the different dynamics between Alphas, Betas, Omegas, Deltas and Gammas if you start from the beginning.
OMG! I loved this book. In my opinion this is one of L. V. Lane’s best books. You got to love deltas! They will give no choice and they can be sneaky too! If you’re a gamma hide. These two deltas, Kade and Jordan, are characters. The alarm sounds and Abby runs into walls of muscle. They all get trapped together during a raider’s attack on the space station. It’s on after that. I am hoping that she writes more about these deltas. I recommend this book for lovers of rough full bore loving.
I loved revisiting this dark sci-fi world, and would personally love it if the author continued the series past this book. I love the political machinations and problematic power dynamics. I was disappointed that both these Deltas were not dominant, but that is just a personal preference for a MMf relationship as opposed to a Mmf relationship. I hope for more Deltas and Gamma relationships in future! I love hooks, fyi. Very satisfying, I highly recommend this novel.
I received a free copy of this book, and I am voluntarily writing this review.
