About the author

Born and raised in Hamilton Ontario, Kathryn became a teacher and moved out to northern B. C. for 4 years to the town of Chetwynd. Then it was a year in the Muskokas before she moved to the Toronto area to settle in Pickering. Over the course of her teaching career, her youngest student was 3 and her oldest was 74. Eventually she retired from teaching, and moved back to Hamilton to work part-time for the library. At the end of February, 2016 Kathryn retired from the work force!
Kathryn has 2 wonderful daughters who were the inspiration for the Anandrian Series. The first book was written for her eldest daughter, Laura, who grew up to be an artist and did the cover artwork. The second book is about Laura's children, Diana (Kathryn's younger daughter who wanted in on the story) and David (in real life Kathryn's husband). And the third book concludes Laura's story, but there will be other novels she will be writing for the Anandrian series.
