John Berkey was an American artist known for his space and science fiction themed works. Some of Berkey's best-known work includes much of the original poster art for the Star Wars trilogy, the poster for the 1976 remake of King Kong and also the "Old Elvis Stamp".

Forever an icon. What a gift to get my hands on a copy of this beauty.

This book came out in 1991 or something. The impression it gives of Berkey is that of a shy, awkward technophobe. Berkey says very little about his adult life except that he set up microphones in his Minnesota backyard to capture bird sounds and play them in his studio.
This could have used a proof-reader.
