Iowa Acceleration Scale, 2nd Edition

Rate this book
A study team, which includes the child's parents, goes through a series of questions that researchers have found to be important factors in successful acceleration. The questions have weighted responses that yeild a score which then predicts (or recommends against) a grade skip or acceleration. Developed and tested by the Belin-Blank Center at the University of Iowa, the IAS ensures that grade-skipping decisions are thoughtful, well reasoned, and defensible.
