I read this book in paperback. This is an unsolicited review.

This quick little novella was a fast, enjoyable read over two nights. I liked the premise and storyline. As expected with Mr. Dring’s work, expect fast pacing and relatable characters that are flawed, yet likable. It’s a feel-good, the bad guys get what’s coming to them and the wronged guys begin the road to healing through righteous vengeance. It was exactly what I was wanting to read. Guns, righteous violence, good luck, justice, and a little love in the making.

I give this one 4.5/5 stars. Great story (remembering this is a short story, but a world-building novel), good characters with shady pasts who allow themselves to grow and overcome, realistic shoot-outs and scenes. Where the book lacked was in editing. There are changes in tense which made it awkward but totally readable for me, because the story-telling is so good. I was able to follow it just fine, though I did need to re-read a couple lines here and there due to tense changes. Other than that, I loved it.

Highly recommended to those who enjoy fast-paced, feel-good, bad-guy-loses, modern-day adventures.
