The combat of Lone Wolf is quick and simple, with greater emphasis placed on the descriptions and action of titanic conflict rather than the dice rolls involved. The real battle should be against the Darklords, not the rules involved to doing so. The basic rules of Lone Wolf are just that- basic. They provide the foundation for all action in Magnamund without getting in the way of the saga that is your campaign.

So, expecting a generic version of DND and got exactly that.
General impression is that it does a great job of keeping things extremely easily and manageable for new players. Like in most introductory RPGs however, at many points it forgets that it should do the same to the Narrator. There is this simple assertion that must be fully understood. 2/5 Good way to get people into RPGS in general, though a bit generic. It's a Choose Your Own Adventure with RPG elements, apperantly there's a relatively active FB group and discord
