Narinder Dhami was born in Wolverhampton, England on November 15, 1958. She received a degree in English from Birmingham University in 1980. After having taught in primary and secondary schools for several years she began to write full-time. Dhami has published many retellings of popular Disney stories and wrote the Animal Stars and Babes series, the latter about young British girls of Asian origin. She lives in Cambridge, England with her husband and cats.
Sue Bentley was born in Northampton, England. She worked in a library after completing her education and began writing for children once her own began school. Bentley is the author of the Magic Kitten, Magic Puppy, and S Club series and lives in Northamptonshire.
Linda Chapman has written over 50 children's fiction books, including the following series: My Secret Unicorn, Stardust, Not Quite a Mermaid, and Unicorn School. She lives in Leicestershire with her husband and daughters.
Sue Mongredien was born in 1970 and grew up in Nottingham, England. She has published over 100 children's books, including the following series: The Adventures of Captain Pugwash, The Magic Key, Frightful Families, and Oliver Moon. She has also contributed many titles to the Sleepover Club series and written picture books. Mongredien created the Royal Ballet School Diaries under the pen name Alexandra Moss. She lives with her family in Bath, England.

This is the second book of seven in the Rainbow Magic Ocean Fairies series by the group of authors who go by the pseudonym Daisy Meadows. While the stories are basically the same and follow a simple formula, they are entertaining for young girls who are starting to read chapter books and I love that our oldest is just ripping through them. We both read the books separately and talk about what happens. I'm not a huge fan of them, but each story only takes about 5-10 minutes to read. And these stories feature sea creatures, so I enjoyed this book slightly more than some of the others. Our oldest is starting to read them very quickly, too, and she ended up finishing four of these stories in one day.

I just saw a review that said “Rainbow Magic is the worst.” Nope, nope, nope. I am 16 and still in love with these books I do not accept.

Rainbow Magic Fairies will forever hold a special place in my heart, and especially this one. As someone named Amelie, I loved this book as a kid and still do.

Book 1 was a strong start to this series. I found that this book didn't quite keep the momentum. There were some good spots--particularly when the goblins showed up--but, for me, it didn't come together as well as the first one. The quest was a bit too straightforward and without a major obstacle, and the solution didn't seem as deep or creative as most. Still worth reading, both as part of a series and to see the goblins' entrance.

Daisy Meadows and her fairies are my childhood. I collected so many in my youth, knowing all the fairies and their importance, and sticking with the two special girls who go to be a part of the magic.
Years ago I had to give my beautiful collection away, now still part of my childhood school where little girls are picking their favourite fairies and playing pretend. It's fun to hear stories from my old teachers telling me how over the years so many students have grabbed these books and fallen in love with the tales of two girls, Jack Frost and the fabulous glittering magic that is the fairies.
On Christmas last year, my sister surprised me with a boxset of these books, but cause you cannot collect these darlings as easily anymore. I was over the moon!
If anyone has a little one who needs a little magic in their life, wants to read and needs a big creation to be hooked on...it is Daisy Meadows!

Daisy Meadows writing is incredible.The way she describes the scene without over exaggeration and the structure in her books is always constant.Even though her writing is practically flawless,there are some flaws in the book like how you need to read the book before to know the backstory and how there is to much forshadowing so you know what happens next.Personally, I think in the middle of the book the suspense falls flat so you know what gonna happen but most of the suspense is created at the end.

Book 2 in this series but easy to pick up if you haven't read the first one.
Environmental issues are always good to teach the target audience of this and so is helping others (even if you don't share the same goals). There are similarities across all the different series by these authors. Which is both a negative and a positive.

It was so lovely and in the ending Jack Frost had his new pet but he made a pond for it, I was not expecting that.

Not much to say about this one, I thought it was okay. I don’t really have specific pros and cons in mind, just a list of observations in no particular order.
-I hate her hair, but everything else about her design is perfect! Both Amelie and Whitney had such quintessential beach looks - could not have designed them better myself!(well, I would’ve changed their hair, but other than that)
-I loved that illustration of all seven fairies on pg. 4, we don’t get ‘close-ups’ like that, and the best part was only Amelie having her fairy animal with her in the illustration.
-I loved seeing the lighthouse again, such a great way to re-use a previous setting, especially since the lighthouse has been renovated so it’s not exactly the same as in Shannon’s book. They even mentioned how Shannon had to use her magic to give them light since the bulb was broken.
-Amelie is lowkey funny because when Kirsty jokingly said she hoped the goblins didn't have a cheesy skull and crossbones flag on their boat, Amelie said, ‘no it is so much worse, it’s a picture of Jack Fost’ and I don’t want to admit how hard I laughed at that.
-The girls were a little snarky in this one, like, when Amelie said they have to make the walrus laugh, they straight up refused to take her seriously. Or them actually being annoyed after helping the goblins.

I liked this book because Amelie the seal fairy had to find Silky the seal and the piece of conch shell. She found it under a sleeping walrus, and a seal pup had it in his mouth. Amelie found the magic piece of conch shell and she found Silky. -by Felicity

I liked this story because instead of a Fairy named Ally the Dolphin Fairy, it was Amelie the Seal Fairy. She lost her pet Seal Silky. The 2 girls went to the light house and helped her find her pet. The end

It was a nice book and good you younger girls with not very hard grammar and words. If you don't have the first book or the other series that come before it, it explains it so you're not confused. Great for a calming read under 100 pages.

This was another good book. My daughter really loved the part of where they were trying to get the walrus to move off the shell. She was laughing about it. I can't wait to read more about the adventures the girls go on to get the rest of the shell pieces.

When Kirsty and Rachel are at the beach, they see a pack of seals and Amelie the Seal Fairy. They are racing the goblins to get Amelie's seal pack back. L.A.
