I enjoy HGTV shows and anything to do with fixing houses. I am not in a position where I can redo my kitchen, but I enjoyed seeing different ways small kitchens were renovated to make more visual and real room in them. I also get tired of "Instagram white" where everything in a room is white. This book features a lot of white kitchens, but it also features kitchens with color and why those colors work. The book is more pictures than text, so it doesn't take long to go through it. I would also add that most of what's featured in the book are major re-do's involving knocking out walls and re-installing new everything. They do make some money-saving suggestions, but it would have been nice to add a section on purely cosmetic week-end improvements that would be in reach of people on a very limited budget.

This wasn't as much helped as I had hoped. Some of the kitchens are not what I would consider to be small and a large portion of the re-models involve restructuring such as moving walls or opening/closing doorways. This sort of thing is not really an option for our kitchen so it doesn't offer any new ideas or solutions for how to help our kitchen problems.

fab photos. don't bother reading the page-full paragraphs. the sidenotes and captions are enough for a handful of notes.
the kitchens look nice and fit for the modern home. kitchens aren't a one size for all fit, so use the book for ideas and inspiration. yet, i don't know how to feel about a $15000 kitchen makeover

The "small" kitchens in this book were much larger than mine, with the exception of maybe 2. Not much help.
