Charming stories of family vineyards. If you're into wine culture (especially red wines), definitely check out this, essentially, virtual samplings of many of Argentina's beautiful and elegant wines.

(If you can ever manage to visit Laura Catena's vineyard itself, Catena Zapata, do it -- what a magical place!!)

A fascinating book on the growth and transformation of the Argentine wine industry - from being domestically focused to being the export powerhouse that it is today. Easy reading, with insights on food, wine and the Argentine way of life. A must read for anyone heading to Argentina in general, or Mendoza wine country in particular.

If you are planning a trip to the wine country of Argentina, this is the book for you! Excellent descriptions of wineries, varieties of grapes, methods of growing used there, and even places to eat and stay. I can't wait to try making some of the recipes for Argentinian dishes included in the book.

She was quite adept at describing Argentine practices and culture. I would have liked to learn more about the wineries of Salta and Patagonia.
