And so on the next instalment of Time Hunter from Telso the sort of spin off series from Doctor Who.

This time we dive right in to the story which was set up in the previous instalment (the severed man) so as you can imagine it is not that easy to comment about a book without either giving away spoilers or work still spoilers to the previous book.

However I can say that this was more in keeping in with the investigation of the week although I will admit it felt more like reading an instalment of Sapphire and Steel (go on who remembers that series) which personally is a great thing as I remember being scared witless watching that series even though at the time (and I guess now too0 it makes absolutely no sense what so ever.

The fact also is that we also see hints of the larger storyline which I assume (though I have no proof) is connected to the lost of Emily's memory.

The series is certainly picking up and I cannot wait to see how they introduce the next instalment

Time Hunter may be a spin-off from Doctor Who, but this novel had more than a bit of Sapphire and Steel to it, if you can imagine Sapphire and Steel being played by an amnesiac time traveller with no memory of who she really is and a black American ex-GI from 1950.

Short and snappy enough to read in one sitting.
