Debby Giusti is a medical technologist who loves working with test tubes and petri dishes almost as much as she loves to write. Growing up as an Army Brat, Debby met and married her husband – then a Captain in the Army – at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Together they traveled the world, raised three wonderful Army Brats of their own and have now settled in Atlanta, Georgia, where Debby spins tales of suspense that touch the heart and soul.
This is a short and sweet story about a woman who comes to a small Georgia town after testing some blood samples from a recent blood donation. It seems three of the town's residents are infected with this same string, but she has no idea what has caused it - only that it can kill the person. But she knows she's in trouble when the bed and breakfast she's staying in is burned and she almost goes down with it!
Handsome Luke Garrison wants nothing more than to avoid the people in town, take care of his mentally challenged sister, and help out his aunt who has devoted her life to caring for the young woman. But he soon finds himself involved trying to solve two mysteries - one surrounding his own family! He has an enemy in town who just may not let him ever rest in peace.
There was plenty of action in this one. The romance was a bit less than I would have liked, but I was so interested in trying to figure out the who, what, and why of the story that I didn't miss it much! This barely qualifies for a religious title, in that there's not much mention of spiritual things - save for both trying to find their way to God and praying for safety...
"The Agent's Secret Past", is the sixth of Debby Giusti's Love Inspired Military Investigations books. This particular book features Becca Miller and Colby Voss, two members of the army's CID--Criminal Investigation Division. Becca and Colby must work together to solve a crime on their post in Georgia. Becca knows that a good CIA agent can have a list of enemies. She also knows that someone in her Amish community past, might be involved. Past secrets are revealed when Becca begins to trust Colby as they piece together the whereabouts of a killer. This book is for anyone who enjoys a good Christian romance/suspense story!
Short mystery with a side of romance. A quick, simple read. Pretty good story line. I don't read a lot of these Love Inspired Suspense but wanted a small book to take with me when I traveled and this just fit the bill. Can't highly recommend it but it was fine for a short, little book.
I read this book because my cousin recommended it to me and it was a great read. The disease here is somewhat similar to the mad cow disease and I really like this and it has a great plot line.
