“An Earl’s Valentine Story” is a historical romance novel of approximately 60,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Bridget Barton was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas.
She has studied English Literature in college and after a brief passage in journalism as a newspaper writer, she stirred her career to what she always loved: becoming an author!
She has always been intrigued by rascals, vagabonds, dukes and rogues, so having the chance to write stories about them is a wish come true for her!
Bridget is married to her own prince charming and is the proud mother of two daughters (and three adorable kittens) and soon to be a grandma!
She is a hopeless romantic who devours romance literature and of course enjoys writing love stories of her own.
When she is not writing, Bridget is relaxing by cooking for her lovely husband, exercising and listening to soft music.
A lovely Valentine's Day themed story involving William and Titania. They are both looking for marriage and have family influences pushing them in different directions than to each other. There were some problems along the way but the most difficult issue was William not being able to get around their age difference. I have to admit that was somewhat frustrating to me because during this time period it was very common for a man to marry a much younger lady. My only negative about the story was that this was such a main theme and seemed unnecessary.
I loved the characters and enjoyed their story and was happy that they were able to overlook the obstacles they encountered to find happiness together.
I received an ARC copy of the book from the author and am voluntarily reviewing and providing my honest review.
William and Titania Okay I will be honest when I read about the book I was not expecting different characters in the downloaded book. It would be a good idea is the author would correct that. William and Titania are the main characters. When her aunt has her attend the season she meets William. Now Titania is a bit unusual and I bet fun to be around I adored the character. William is faced with a mother who wants him married and some friends who kind of suggest something that oh so turn bad. Loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it.
A very lovely Valentine’s story. I truly enjoyed reading this amazing journey full of adventure and mischief. The characters are absolutely interesting and entertaining as well as the story line is inspiring with its beautiful happy ending. I think the interaction of the obnoxious characters also makes the journey quite interesting.. I loved everything about this amazing love story. The extended epilogue gives it a wonderful ending to it. Congratulations on your amazing writing. Definitely a must read and highly recommended.
This is a poignant story about an age difference between a mature earl and a young spinster. These two really love each other, but everybody's got to get into your business. The characters are well written, but why does the author write a mature earl so unsure of himself. A earl that age would know his own mind, his own wants and needs. An opportunity for love a second time around is rare, and should be grabbed. At just over 40, it's a lonely existence to spend the next twenty-five years alone. This story regardless of the all the busybodies is well written and enjoyable.
Titania and William meet in London in a shop and initially its not a good start. But over time and exposure to each other it turns into something else. Unfortunately another lady, another man and a misunderstanding involving an ongoing valentine brings some challenges to their developing relationship. Ultimately all is overcome and they find their hea
A different twist to the usual one of a young girl having her season and falling in love. Love wins out despite a rocky start. The most unusual part was the missing parents but I enjoyed the story.
A good and enjoyable story about a young woman that does not want marriage falls for an Earl known as Mr Casanova The characters are determined and finally realize their love
I enjoyed this book. It was a clean romance, just how I like them. I read it with my 7 year old. Parts of the book were funny, and other parts were frustrating. I didn't like the attitude of Mr. Austin. I did feel like he got what he deserved though. I would recommend this book.
It took me a little while to become absorbed in this story, but once I was able to read without interruption, I wanted to find out how they achieved their happily ever after. William was very genuine and deep.
Titania and William Titania and William I thought this was a good book, and I loved the main characters. Heartwarming romance filled with family drama, bets, Intrigue, curious, and baffling secrets, surprising twists, and of course, love.
