I, Maury Powell, am hunting a dark witch who is threatening my newfound family. She strikes from the shadows, casting spells to attack and harass the cat shifter pride.
Then, she murders my stepmother, leaving her brutalized body in the bayou.
It is up to me and my fated mate, Alpha Anthony Holder, to track down the witch and protect the pride . . . and our unborn baby.
But the witch seems to be one step ahead, having secured a deadly weapon that could destroy the pride from the inside out.
With time running out and everything I love on the line, I must be strong enough to stand up to the darkness and protect my family from the forces of evil?
I didn't really love it. It was ok. It wasn't bad, just not super, grasp my interest and keep it good. The dynamic between the whole pack and the MC seemed kinda convenient in my opinion, her becoming basically the most important person in a blink of an eye and her becoming kinda insta confident when the first book clearly depicted her as insecure and having abandonment issues. Just seemed like all of her personal issue got resolved on their own magically, and that honestly just took me out. She's always in the right place at the right time, there's never an effort on her part to be there she just is. Idk it all felt too... convenient in my opinion. That's just my opinion though. I liked the concept of the books and the characters for the most part were likable.
The book starts off with the pride having a meeting to somehow find the witch, Adrienne McCullough. Trackers keep going out to try and find some clues, but there is nothing. Maury, the Alpha, decided that the pride needed to have a run. They have been in lock down and in meetings forever. When they are out on the run, Maury finds Shannon's body. She died and they know it is because of Adrienne. Now the whole pride is pissed and they want the witch dead. Adrienne has more plays to play to try and capture Maury. But when she kidnaps Rose, Maury's sister, all bets are off. This is the third and final book in this series. The book was good and kept me reading.
A book that I have really enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. But as I mentioned before the age difference was confusing as she supposed to be young and beautiful, but yet he is over 100? Like what?
Hot, great. One more time. Is there a next? If so count me in. I read on kindle now. Started with the guttenburg project read on a Microsoft C ditital assistant.
