Rescue
Desperate Rescue was book that kept me reading with expectations of how Charlie and Monroe finally realized what their true feelings were. Charlie's story and past were finally catching up to her. I was intrigued by how everything unfolded. How the determination of one evil person could effect a whole country. The ending was perfect! I have read all of Christ Barritt's books and I have to say this was one of my favorites.

March 27, 2023Charlie is a stand along woman. Or at least that is what she thinks, until Monroe get seriously hurt. Then she realizes that if he doesn't make it, she will be lost. All of a sudden her teenage daughter shows up and for once Charlie isn't actually sure of what to do, except try to be the mother her daughter doesn't want, or at least that is what she(her daughter) thinks. While all this isn't enough, her operation is about to be busted, someone is out to kill her, the man she is most terrified of is back, and she is getting closer to find out who caused the bombing that killed her grandmother. Let's not forget her and her daughter are kidnapped! But she doesn't need to worry, the Vanishing Ranch crew has her back. Thrill and suspense on every page. Just like the other 9 books in this series Christy Barritt has you feeling like one of her loyal employees waiting to see what will happen next!

Charlie Soldier, who founded Vanishing Ranch, faces her own dilemma in this compelling series conclusion. Not only does she struggle with her teenage daughter, her close assistant, Monroe Davis, has been sidelined with injuries, and they still need to unravel the culprits threatening them and stop the bad guys’ crimes. The intense pace and suspense keep readers flipping pages, concerned with what will happen next and if all the mysteries will be resolved. Surprises and twists add intrigue in this powerful drama. Reading the rest of the series first definitely makes this novel more satisfying, but it could stand on its own and would create spoilers if read before earlier Vanishing Ranch books. I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

WOW What a finish!
Front and center of this story was Charlie and her story didn't disappoint!
I think having Charlie be somewhat a mystery as she has led the Vanishing Ranch team raised the expectation of seeing her story play out. Getting to experience her story is such a personal way was powerful. It reminded me that we all have a story and no matter how dark it can be, God's grace is enough.
The action was great, the ending was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
I'm a little sad that it's over, but Barritt is great about bringing back characters and storylines. Looking forward to what we may see.

I looked forward a long time to hearing Charlie's story, and here it is! Charlie founded Vanishing Ranch to help those in trouble. Though she had a well-known father, there was much mystery surrounding her life, from the way her father died to the appearance of a daughter in her life. Monroe has been her right-hand man and faithful protector through all the previous books, but when she needs him most, he may not be able to help her, and he longs to be much more in her eyes that a friend. Mystery, danger, life threatening situations all combine for an exciting latest installment to the Vanishing Ranch Series. I hope there are more to come!

The final book in the Vanishing Ranch series does not disappoint! There is so much action happening, you might get whiplash. This book focuses on the leader of Vanishing Ranch, Charlie Soldier and her right hand man, Monroe as they try to solve the mysteries and attacks that seem to be spiraling down toward Vanishing Ranch as Charlie gets closer to solving the mystery of her father's death. Great suspense, interesting characters, and enough mystery and clues to keep you guessing until the very end. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

I had a BETA Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Charlie Soldier is getting closer to the information she has been searching for years, but she is worried about her right hand man, Monroe Davis who is recovering from a bomb blast, plus she is trying to get to know her rebellious teenage daughter. As she gets continues to follow the leads, her life is threatened as well as her daughter’s and she must decide whether she can risk falling in love. The suspense in this book has you turning pages to find out what happens next. Great ending to this series.

A Great Series Highlighting a Real Problem Today
Christy has a great talent to weave great stories, but through this series brought out what is happening in our current day world.
Human trafficking is happening all around us and we don’t see it. My son is a detective, who is working in that division currently. It’s heartbreaking what is going on.
Thank you, Christy for making each of us more aware—especially with our open borders. Thanks to the men and women who are fighting it.

Another great book by this author and a very satisfied reader. These books never disappoint and I always look forward to the next book. Today's overcast Houston weather is an ideal place to search my next good read. An avid reader of many years and at almost eighty years of age these books are an amazing gift. Soon I will leave our home in Texas of almost six years and head back up to snow country. Another chapter in my very blessed life. !!!

Christy has finished with a heck of a bang
This story was action packed from the beginning to the end. Who knew that Charlie had such a tender side. She always seemed to ignore her needs to fulfill others needs. But I really think she is like a cat with nine lives and came out of some pretty scary situations. Monroe turned out to be the big ole teddy bear and macho man too. I love this whole series because a family was born out of it. Highly recommend this whole series.

I have been looking forward to this book, the last in the series and the one where Charlie Soldier gets her story. And it was awesome. This has been a great series, and it seems like just yesterday she was advertising the first book in the series, and it came out in June. I have enjoyed each book, and loved the characters. I am sad to see the series end, but it ended epically with this great book. Looking forward to what the author has coming next

This was my absolute favorite book of the Vanishing Ranch series. Once I started the book, I couldn’t put it down till I finished it. It was totally filled with action from the beginning to the end. The twists in the plot keep the reader totally involved. I never guessed which character was the brains behind all the action. I loved the way Monroe and Charlie's relationship developed up to the lovely ending. I highly recommend reading this book.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire Vanishing Ranch series. Could you read this book as a stand-alone? Yes, but I wouldn’t recommend it. You would miss the impact of this book without the history from the other nine books. Christy Barritt always keeps my attention as I read her books. This one is full of fast paced twists and unexpected turns as it ties up the loose ends of the series, and ties them up expertly. Thank you, Ms.. Barritt!

My thoughts: DESPERATE RESCUE In this riveting series. If you like romantic suspense you will love this book and the series. There is a slight faith message in this book and fans will be caught up in the what happens next in this fast paced novel. There were some things I found implausible but they were minor. You won't be able to put it down. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.

Great Book
I love Christy Barritt’s books. However, this book was one of the best yet. Vanishing Ranch series is exciting and keeps you guessing. Charlie is trying to help women forced into human sex trafficking which seems to be getting worse today. It also shows how corrupt some government officials are. I will continue to wait for more books in this series.

My goodness, what a way to conclude this series! Charles is traveling between the ranch & the east coast to solve different events. The police get involved & want to search every inch of the ranch putting all living on the ranch in danger of exposure to the world. I couldn't read fast enough to find out how the ranch if saved.

Absolutely brilliant
Charlie faces her biggest fears in this series finale and the reasons for the initial bombing which started her investigation are unexpected to say the least. As ever, Ms. Barritt weaves an amazing romantic suspense story that keeps you turning the pages throughout.

Too heartbreaking
I enjoy most of Christy Barrett's books - a little mystery, a little romance, a few Christian characters and excellent writing. This one was just too much of the world's evil for me. Although it might be true to some things that go on in our world - it was too much for me. I read for pleasure not for nightmares.

what a book- what a series!
I just love the Barritt books!! Full of mystery and surprises. Even when you think you know - there’s a little twist. I love the clean romance of it all. It is matched with some violent ends for some characters but I love the hope and positivity of the books.

Excellent Story
What a great story. Lots of positive and negative events but in the end its all positive. A great story of the wonderful things that can happen when a positive group challenges the status quo to change lives for the greater good.

What a great series!
I have loved this entire series! I am sad it is over, but this last book was amazing! It had me hooked from the first page and didn't let go until the last word. I can't wait to see what Christy Varsity has for us next.
