It's official: the older, possessive firefighter is my baby's daddy. The pregnancy may be accidental, but there's no way I'm keeping this baby a secret.
Callie One look at Jack's big blue eyes makes accepting a teaching position and moving home to Riley's Ridge seem less like a backward step and more like an opportunity. A night of fun makes my heart skip a beat when I'm suddenly staring at two pink lines. At first, I'm scared--this isn't the first time this has happened. But this time, it's different because I'm falling for my baby's daddy.
Jack She might think the bomb she dropped will send me running, just like the last guy. But she's wrong because I'm not going anywhere. I'll fight for her and our family and stop at nothing to protect what's mine. I'll do whatever it takes to turn our fling into forever.

Firefighter Jack (H) is instantly drawn to preschool teacher Callie (h) when he stops by for an inspection. A single mom to Rye, Callie and Jack get to know one another with things heating up quickly between the two, though she wants to make sure of where their relationship is headed before she makes Jack a part of her son’s life. A sweet firefighter, age gap romance with a side of heat and a surprise baby. A Baby for the Firefighter de Fern Fraser
Argumento:
Overall for me, the story was okay. I guess I just wanted more. .. I really wanted to like this story after reading the synopsis. But that's where the first problem for me comes in. The synopsis to me is really misleading. Maybe it's just me, but I really thought that there was going to be pushing away from Jack. Honestly, the only kind of pushing away is when he thought she was married because he found out she had a son. That's it. In regards, to Jack's scars from his upbringing, I don't know if I just missed this while reading or what, but I don't know what upbringing scars he has. He has the literal scars from an accident with his job, but beyond that there's no mention of anything else. But I really did want to learn more about Jack's accident, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Callie's character, she was okay. I get wanting to protect yourself and your sone from something that you don't believe is going to be lasting, but if anyone does any pushing away it's Callie. After the one night, she keeps Jack at arms length any time her son is with her, but when he was away she was all for getting together again with Jack but not to date or get to know each other.
This sucked. So many complaints for me with this. The I Love You’s to a few sentences later of “we hardly know each other,” to “be my wife.” All the author forgot was to insert eye roll here, there and everywhere. Not one question of health status or both MCs sexual past is discussed before going without condoms. Why go to bar if you are not drinking and alcoholic beverage. As well as no discussion why the female MC makes this choice. There is a ten year age gap of the MCs, no mention of that discussion between characters so if that’s your thing pass on this. The epilogues don’t add much to overall story and just left me more confused and irritated. The child is four at time of second epilogue while Rye, Callie’s first child, is 6 years older than the younger sibling. This would put Rye at 10 or 11ish. It’s written in a way that seems like the child is 13 or 14. It was very confusing. This maybe a good story to someone, but not me. I am not reading any other stories by this author. I’m questioning reading more of the series at this point. Psst- this was not steamy in my opinion. They were pretty standard plain old described sexual romps. Nothing kinky to see here folks.
HEA Standalone, series collaboration by different authors Age-gap, BBW, surprise baby, single mom *over 18 readers only*
Jack (35, mmc, firefighter) Callie (26, mfc, preschool teacher)
Jack meets Callie at the preschool she works for, but when her son walks up and calls her mommy, he walks away thinking she's married. The next time he sees her, he finds out she isn't and sets up a date for later that night while her son is out of town. Weeks later, she keeps getting sick and goes to the doctor. Afterward, she goes home for a nap. But the house catches fire while she's sleeping, and Jack is racing to save her.
Issues- Very little interaction between Jack and the son. Inconsistencies in the story, like his shirt is off but then they are already driving to town. She was wearing a skirt at the bar and jeans the next morning. There is also a duplication of sentences. For a quick read, it's a good story. It would have been better with these fixed. The steamy scenes are mild enough not to offend many, they feel trite though.
A Baby for the Firefighter, Fern Fraser's kick off for the multi-author Be My Baby series, is an entertaining, swoon-worthy single mom-firefighter instalove romance. Jack was injured during a rescue years ago, and has closed himself off to relationships since. Until he meets preschool teacher - and single mom - Callie. Despite a nine-year age difference, both are enamoured with one another - and as soon as Jack finds out Rye's father is not in the picture, he makes a move. But when their first night together ends up in a pregnancy, will Callie be left alone once again, or have she and Jack both finally found the family they have been missing? A wonderful read, perfect for Valentine's Day and a fantastic kick off to a new series!

I enjoyed A Baby for the Firefighter : Be my baby. Jack and Callie have an instant connection. They are both single but Callie has a son to consider also so alone time isn’t easy to come by. Plus they are going to keep it casual although both have fallen for each other. When Callie finds out she’s pregnant she’s afraid how Jack will react but will a fire ruin everything before Callie gets to tell Jack about the baby? Such a sweet story and I loved the characters. This was a quick and easy read. I would definitely recommend this book.

He's come to the pre-school that she teaches at to inspect the school in his capacity as a firefighter. When they run into each other again things quickly heat up between the handsome firefighter and the single mother. This is a short and fast read so I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone. Jack is a Firefighter visiting the school when he sees Callie. Though he does not do relationships, there is something about her that pulls him.
Callie is a single mom, that is strong and determined. When she sees Jack, she thinks he is a dad and off limits, but soon finds the truth.
This is a fast read with a steamy heat that pulls you in with each turn of the page. I loved all the characters in the book, from Callie's strength to Jake love, and her parents support they all made my heart melt.
Great story to get lost in.

But when she meets Jack, a firefighter who is checking the school where she works all bets are off. Callie and Jack hit it off immediately, great chemistry. I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a sweet, fast paced romance with plenty of heat and a couple of surprises along the way. Callie is a single mom and teacher. She's stayed away from dating, fully dedicated to her son. Jack is a fireman who doesn't think love is for him. They both have an abrupt change of heart after meeting each other. It is low drama, with just a couple of obstacles for them to overcome. It's not a very long story but I liked the couple which made me want more from them
Callie had moved back to her home town with her 6 year old son to be nearer her parents. Jack was a firefighter who was lonely. They met when he was inspecting the pre school where she works. One look at Callie and Jack knew she was his one. Their connection was instant. Now Jack had to convince Callie she and her son were his, he would love and care for them forever. Sweet, steamy romance with amazing chemistry, a devoted, loving hero and a beautiful HEA.

Moving back to Riley's Ridge may feel like a backwards move. But when Callie looks at Jack she knows she's where she needs to be. Jack believes he is not the type of gut who gets the girl, his pass was troubled and he doesn't think he's right for her. After a one night of passion Callie is even more convinced. When she finds out she pregnant she plans to tell Jack a move on to raise their child alone. Jack has other plans. This story is so good!!!.

Callie is a single mom who moved back to her hometown to be closer to her family. Jack is a firefighter, single, and doesn't believe he'll find love until he meets Callie. Sparks fly when they meet things take a steamy night turn. This is a fast paced, sweet, age gap romance with plenty of steam, and a special little surprise that gives Callie and Jack their happily ever after. A Baby for the Firefighter is a great start to the multi-author Be My Baby series. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This was a quick read. While I enjoyed the synopsis the story itself felt flat. Yes Jack and Callie had an attraction to one another and she was protecting her son, but the connection didn’t seem as strong as the author’s usual characters. Jack’s physical scars were from a work accident but not sure what. It mentions emotional scars but noting was explained. Even though this was not a favourite of mine, it won’t deter me from reading more from this author. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this story about Callie and Jack. Callie is a single mother who works at the school and while she is there she meets Jack who is a firefighter. They start dating and one thing leads to another before she knows that she is pregnant again. Jack comes to her rescue, when there is a fire in my start living their life together and have a happily ever after.

This was a really cute book. I enjoyed Jack and Callie together with their instant and deep connection and chemistry. This two hit the floor running and while Callie and Jack get a really sweet and much deserved HEA, there are a couple of bumps along the way. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what the rest of this series as in store.

I liked the flirting and the fun between the two. It's clear that our MCs hit it off. Cupid hit a bullseye when it comes to them.
The story focuses on the MCs and the relationship developing between them. It was fun at the start but things took a serious turn when a surprise came up. He definitely rose up to the challenge. He did love her after all.

Callie is a single mum without a baby daddy to worry about. She is the new pre school teacher in her home town. She came back home to raise her son in a good environment. Jack is a firefighter that was tasked with updating the schools fire alarms. As soon as he sees Callie he is bewitched.sparks fly and they fall head over heels for each other. Instalove, sweet, romantic, with a bit steam and with a surprise baby and with a sweet HEA😍😍😍
I don’t really know exactly where to pin point it there was something of a disconnect for me in this story. I sort of felt some chemistry in the beginning but it felt like something was off as the story went on. I don’t know if it was transitions or that it felt like there were parts of the story missing but just something off. Otherwise the bones of the story were good.
I absolutely love the newest book in the Be My Baby series. Jack is a firefighter doing repairs on an elementary school. Callie is a single Mom, and she immediately feels a connection with Jack. I absolutely love the perfect family these two make. It was a wonderful edition to a fantastic series.
This book is part of be my baby series. This story is an older man younger woman possessive fireman accidental pregnancy. This book is hot and steamy spicy short read romance. This book is a great page turner.

My first read in the multi author Be My Baby series and it did not disappoint. This was a sweet romance read with Jack, a firefighter and single mom Callie. I enjoyed their instant connection with all the sweetness and steamy moments that ends with a HEA. A quick story with likable characters.
A steamy romance of a single mom, meeting a responsible firefighter. Loved the banter and many puns between these two, as they have an easygoing connection, yet chocked full of steam. Liked the pace of this short novella, but sometimes nature has a way of speeding up the timeline. Great ending for this couple.

Callie came back to her hometown so she could raise her son and be close to her parents. What she didn't expect was meeting Jack a hot, older Firefighter, who gives her the most amazing feelings and a surprise of a lifetime. So when Jack tells her he loves her, she knows it will be forever.
