informative for technical part of war. Book focus on Artillery, trench system, Guns, tanks, bombs, dreadnaught, cruiser, u-boats, submarines, gases, transports, communication systems, invent, modified & utilized during the war. There is very little about political side.

For each day, or short string of days, there are entires for multiple categories in multiple areas of the world. The entries are thumb nail sketches but there is so much to cover that it fills the book. This book provides an excellent framework upon which to start a serious study of Wold War I.
I found only two errors. I don't want to spoil the suspense for you if you do a careful read, but the errors I found were:
1) A date for an event in the USA was off by one month.
2) A photo which was used was inadvertently used again, a few pages later, where it did not correlate to the caption.
If you read the book you might like to try to catch these bugs.
I had intended to read this book a day at a time, 100 years after the fact, but chugged through it a month at a time and finished it on 29 October 2014. I'll probably re-read it a few days at a time, 100 years after the fact. I highly recommend it.
