A compelling retelling of one man's remarkably life story

An interesting and at times moving story. Whilst not written most stylish of pros, this can be forgiven and matters less than being able to understand the life story of a man who was unfortunate to have been born at the wrong time in the wrong place.
The book ends with optimism in 2004. Sadly the promise of a peaceful Ukraine has since been totally shattered by Russian aggression.
