A good and practical introduction to prayer, accessible enough for the novice but with enough challenge and helpful insights and perspectives for the more mature. Thoroughly recommended.

Just a lovely adventure in prayer in all its myriad means. I learned to shut up and listen to God. And I learned that He can take me by the hand on a dream-like journey and how to discern whether that experience is of Him or not. I feel closer to God as a result of reading this book. And I want more of what Margaret Silf has in her own life, that she so generously and humbly shared with me.
