Someone hears that a new book has appeared called RECALL and asks “what is it about?”
Well it is not an ‘about’ book. It is an anti-about book. Appropriately Chapter one is headed ‘Only absolute subjectivity is objectively real’.
Well then, how can reading such a book enlighten the reader on this issue?
In a sense the reader of RECALL is the invisible protagonist of the reading. But isn’t that the same with the reading of all serious books?
Not at all. Most authors want their readers to identify with certain characters and become absorbed through the so called ‘reading’.
The author of RECALL has not created such a den of iniquity. It is a book looking for an honest reader. Honest readers will have many opportunities to see their own dis-honesty in the nude. Will there be a single un-divided real reader who will not re-dress their own blatant dis-honesty?
Yes, the actual life of the reader and the quality of the reading is the theme of the book.
Yes this book calls upon the reader to be utterly honest. To not avoid studying the responses…or better---the reactions which the reading provokes.
And if an honest reader reading RECALL really studies his or her reactions---the reading will be very slow like reading Mr Gurdjieff’s ‘All and Everything’ or Mr Joyce’s ‘Finnegan’s Wake’.
As Jim, a very singular and prominent revealer of life's hidden threads, points out; ’most people are 'short-cutting slaves' and are constantly pushed or pulled from A to B.
RECALL is living and breathing-in the real secrets living within A.
RECALL is cantered within A and never tries to progress towards an illusory B.
The study of A is an opportunity to 'move' from the actual (your idea of your self)... to what you really are. For you may not have real-'I'-sd that there is a vast difference between the actual and the real.
O YES, ACTUALITY IS NOT THE SAME AS REALITY.
Like meandering is not the same as going from A to B. RECALL is an invitation to meander. ME-AND-HER… within HER RING.
