Mr. October: Billionaire business man Jake ClaiborneHis Quest: Steer clear of scandal
His Quandry: He'd gotten the enemy's daughter pregnant!
It had been sheer madness to bed Alicia Butler. The beauty's father had cost Jake's company millions and any association with her would surely create troubling tabloid fodder. But Alicia was pregnant with his baby and he would not walk away from this responsibility. Their only option was marriage and the hope that the gossip would dwindle...even as their passion reignited.

USA best-selling Ann Major writes short, sexy contemporary romance.
Nora Roberts has described her work thusly: "Engaging characters, stories that thrill and delight, shivering suspense, and captivating romance." and Sandra Brown says, "Her name on the cover instantly identifies the book as a good read."
Definitely got better towards the end. Jake Claiborne turned in Alicia's Butler's father for stealing money the day after their night together. He even believes Alicia knew about it
Weeks later, she's on his doorstep with a bag and her cat with no place else to go since the FBI has taken over all her assets. Oh, and she's pregnant with his baby. Not for one moment thinking of abandoning his child, he immediately welcomes her to stay, although he leaves periodically to get away from it all and think.
Alicia didn't want her child to have the loveless life she had and desperately wants her child to know his/her father. She throws marriage on the table and although he doesn't like, Jake agrees.
Now these two enemies must learn to live together with their marriage of convenience. Although when they really start thinking about it, enemies isn't the word they would describe the other with anymore.
I really enjoyed reading in Jake's pov because at first he hated her so much and felt so trapped with this marriage, but as time went by he realized he might not have chose this himself, but it's how it is mean to be. He finds himself having to prove to Alicia she's no longer the enemies' daughter to him, but his wife and mother of his child.
