A Gathering by Nelson Ball is a series of poems about David UU (13 June 1948 23 May 1994). They offer a glimpse of who he was while he was alive, and document some of the afterwords that occurred upon his passing. Part elegy, part historical document, part testament, these poems, like all of Nelson Ball s work, are tender and quiet. They are a calm unfolding from an individual in the midst of tragic events. Originally published in small, private editions, A Gathering is here reissued by BookThug from the 2003 Rubblestone Press edition.
