This book was epic and was really filled with facts on the dinosaurs and its period of existence. I think It was really cool and the fact that I really like dinosaurs also adds up.it also showed Caterdon trapping professor von volt in the past he made sure that he couldn't escape but geronimo helped and saved the professor. my favourite character in this book was caterdon as he may be very evil but he was a big fool. my favourite part of this book was caterdon was pranked by trap Bugsy wugsy because it was really funny and the way the showed the prank and since he was an adult I thought he would be smart enough to actually realize that he was gonna be pranked but then I realized he was a FOOL!!. it was actually a pretty good experience and going through the whole dinosaur period with geronimo was really crazy. this book was my first Geronimo stilton comic.

In this seventh volume of the Geronimo Stilton Graphic Novel series the writer shakes things up a little differently in order to make sure this series doesn’t get too formulaic. The Pirate Cats have been foiled many times in their attempt to change history and benefit from it by Geronimo and his family and the friends. So in this story the Pirate Cats are going to go on the offense and preemptively stop Geronimo and his gang ahead of them. So they pretend to be mouse and go to New Mouse city to start their first day at work at the Rodent’s Gazette where Geronimo works at. That’s when the adventures begin!
I don’t want to give the whole book away but this leads the Pirates Cats to accidently go back in time in their time machine to the Cretaceous Period, an era in which dinosaurs exists. Geronimo has to save one of his friends who was kidnapped by the pirate cats so he enlists his usual team along with a new character name Karen Von Fossils to join in the hot pursuit of the Pirate Cats in their time machine, the Speed Rat. Karen is called in to join the adventure because she’s a paleontologist and would know about dinosaurs of that period. Kids will enjoy learning about the different kinds of creatures and dinosaurs as the adventure progresses. Fun read!

Well, the graphic novels are a lot easier to read than the Geronomo Stilton's sister Thea Stilton's fan club The Thea Sisters' adventures as passingly introduced by Thea Stilton books, by virtue of not putting every tenth word into a completely different colour and typeface. (Only like five words in this book have that treatment, two of which are ver y od dly sp aced for some reason.) I do still bristle at the whole cheese theme, but it's pretty much ingrained in the series, so I can't expect anything to change no matter how much I complain on Goodreads. (I actually can't expect anything to change with ANY of my reviews, but I like that my opinion is out there, for what my one review vote counts.)

On the whole, it's a well-drawn, well-told story, with my major complaints being what I listed above and

- What kind of name is "Trap" Stilton? The heck?? (If he appeared earlier, I wouldn't know or have long forgotten—I have read only a few of these, and VERY out of order.)

- Bugsy Wugsy for that matter! Do her parents hate her?

- "The Titanosaur was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived in the Cretaceous period." But on the facing page, "Triceratops was an herbivore, and could reach a length of over 26 feet and a weight of 7-8 tons." I have to assume that's a translation error, but at least keep the American vs. British English consistent!

- I don't know, the Triceratops on the cover is just TOO ridiculously detailed compared to the characters.

- The fact that "Meow down"* has to be footnoted each of the THREE TIMES it appears means maybe it's a terrible attempt at cat-ifying dialogue and shouldn't have been bothered?

*Calm down.

It's a lot of small things, I know, which is why only one star deduction. They're things that still bother me, though, since it's otherwise a pretty good book! Recommended for young readers who aren't as ultra-picky as I apparently am.

I tried, and quickly binned, a bunch of Geronimo Stilton early readers a couple years ago. This comic book series is catching our son's attention. They're okay... not what I'd choose, not poor enough to reject. If you don't already read comics and know how to differentiate quality within the format then *please* do not begin here. :)

I guess the best I can say is there are many difficult words and my son is learning to read those by choice. The plots in this series bore me, but I'm not seven years old so my opinion on such matters should be viewed with some suspicion.

Borrow don't buy.

Lots of great callouts on different species of dinosaurs. I learned about a few more that I didn't know. And this time the Pirate Cats' plan was very creative!

These are fun. I read it to the kids and think that Kait might start reading them independently now.

We've read most of the Geronimo Stilton Graphic Novels and our girls really like them. I thought they were very hard to read aloud at first, but I've gotten used to them. And I love that this story includes bits of history and lots of scientific information throughout. We enjoyed reading this book together and we will certainly read more of these stories as we find them at our library.

The five stars are from my son and I. Emory loves these books and finds them highly entertaining. I like them because I can satisfy his desire to read comic books without compromising quality or standards. He's read a lot of the Geronimo Stiltons now and he's loved them all!

Disclaimer: This series is another that I have translated, so once again, I'm prejudiced in favor...

Nonetheless, I have to admit that I think the Stilton graphic novels are cute and clever!
