Ladies are tired of trying to engage their man in something he is reluctant to do... like devotional time. Guys are feeling like the term "devotional" is code for "boring". Plus, husbands and wives have different views on what intimacy is all about.
For those who are wondering if they're living more with their "roommate" than their "soulmate," then this devotional can help them meet on common ground and discover each other in new ways. Men won't even need an alarm clock to wake them when "devotional time" is finished!
Filled with insights from a real couple on real issues, Songs in the Key of Solomon will get spouses laughing, thinking, sharing, touching, and praying possibly all during the same reading. Each offering in this devotional is designed to spark connections around issues that matter, so couples deepen their emotional, spiritual, and physical unity and ignite new levels of intimacy. (One devotional even involves a bathtub and some candles!)
Here is an invitation to discover the music in marriage maybe for the first time... or maybe once again.
If the Song of Solomon (Song of Songs) makes you blush or leaves you tongue tied…that’s okay.
I promise you, this is unlike any devotional that you have ever experienced anything like it.
BUT
If you commit to investing time and energy into the relationship with your spouse…you will experience deeper intimacy and a have some fun along the way.
“We believe another way to pronounce the word intimacy is “into me see” because we all desire to be fully known and loved by the person we’ve committed ourselves to in marriage.”
I received this book FREE from the author, publisher, distributor, or other source. My only obligation is to provide a fair and honest review.
Key verses in the song if Solomons turned into how we could please our spouse and mini devotional. Its interesting, especially the idea. The ideas was mostly western but it could also be applied on eastern for coloring the marriage life.
Great little devotional for married couples. It was easy to read, fun and packed with some really great scripture references that are a great reminder of what marriage is all about. Definitely recommend
This book brings so much scripture into the conversation of marriage. I love the applications and filling my mind & heart with sweet words that connect me and my spouse to the Lord in our intimacy.
Found this in the Kindle Store when looking at another book. It's a book of short devotionals meant to be read together as husband and wife. Though I read this on my own, I appreciated the suggestions and perspective the authors gave on improving one's marriage.
I actually did not finish this book. It is for couples who want to deepen their relationship and intended to be read together. I don’t have a partner and the book wasn’t relevant to me. I’m not sure why I started reading it.
“If we can be the best of lovers, yet be the best of friends If we can try with everyday To make it better as it grows With any luck then I suppose, The music never ends.”
I really liked reading through this. The "What we hear" parts were great....I have shelved it so that I can pull it out again when it's actually feasible for me and my man to do this together!
Good couples devotional and not a bad read if you do it alone:) Humor...as to be expected by Anita Renfroe, the Christian comedian who gave us "The Mom Song". Good perspectives on marriage.
