This is an unique perspective of a little know part of the desert war of WWII. It was published in 1943. The author was an American volunteer with the American Field Service (AFS). The AFS supplied American Ambulance drivers for the British Eighth Army. Captain Geer spent all of 1942 in AFS supporting the Eighth Army.
