Hero and heroine are married.
Hero suspects heroine of getting it on with his brother.
Heroine has enough of his idiocy and leaves him.
Hero and heroine divorce.
Hero gets random heroine look-alike preggers.
Look-alike refuses his offer of marriage.
Heroine comes back.
Hero decides she is the next-best-thing for his brand new baby, since baby-momma is not looking to get tied down.
Heroine gets saddled with the look-alike's baby and makes a family with the hero.
How?
By forgetting all of his past transgressions, by listening to various people tell her she was A FOOL, AN UTTER FOOL!!... to leave the cranky hero, by not talking about how she felt alone and trapped while sitting at home with a kid, and ignoring the fact that she is now back right where she started, only with some other woman’s baby as a bonus.

LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE, PEOPLE! LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE!
And the standard celibate heroine unable to even look at another penis (pardon my French) while the hero is off impregnating.
Oh the joy.

This was a second chance at love story Sam-Lisa were married and Lisa was engaged to Sam's brother Nick but somehow these two ended up together, they were in love and expecting their first child but Sam's constant jealousy lead to many fights and arguments,Lisa is also at fault any thing went wrong she will go to Nick and just to make Sam jealous he let Lisa come to him again n again later Nick realised he was crossing the line but by then Sam-Lisa split up and they got divorced

Lisa left the town moved to Dallas, had the child and lives there,Sam is allowed to meet Joey once in week, still through the 2 years she missed and longed for Sam now she has decided to come back now that she is grown and wiser she wants to have the chance to be happy and give Joey his father.Sam-Lisa meet again and they start to solve their issues but there's a big news Sam did not tell Lisa that he is going to be a father again

Eventually when Margot comes to meet Sam Lisa meets her and Sam tells her "She is the mother of my unborn child",Lisa is very hurt cries her heart out she thinks she lost her chance with Sam since Sam is going to be a father again, she ignores all the calls cause she is not in a state to talk but she has decided that Joey will need the father she will not let Joey away from his father then Nick comes pounding at the door and is disgusted at Lisa

Nick is angry tells her what did she expect that Sam will carry the torch for her,it was she who left and even accepts his fault and gives Lisa a nice lecture on her faults and tells her any sign of trouble she runs away like she is doing now,Sam was free and he wanted to marry Margot but Margot has other dreams, she does's wants marriage and the baby, but somehow Sam convinced her to carry the baby to full terms and gives it to him

Lisa also agrees 'she thought marriage would be glamour and
fun, and it turned out to be work.”so she took easy way out left,Nick says very hurtful things to her even says has she seen Margot, have a good look at her she looks like her that is why in the first place Sam started dating her.I understood Lisa's hesitation and also her hurt,Sam asking Lisa to become mother of this unborn child and become a family

Nick even asks her "If you met a man for the first time today and knew he had two kids, what would you
do—cut yourself off from any relationship because he had a past"?
Cut him some slack, Lisa. He loves Joey and wants to see him. I’d say he’s crazy about you,
though why he would be after the way you’ve treated him is beyond me. But remember
this—when he was dating Margot, he was free and single. He’d been dumped by the woman
he’d chosen to be his wife. He had no ties to you, no loyalties, nothing. It’s too bad about
what happened, but he’ll love that new baby as much as he loves Joey. And the kid will have a
great home. If you two have something going, then it’ll be up to you to get beyond this.”

I completely agree with Nick and even accept Lisa has her share in breaking of marriage but what spoiled the book was Sam hid it from Lisa,he should have started with telling the truth first and then gone ahead with solving their issues and trying to become a family.

Also another thing that spoiled the book was in the end when Sam is hurt,Nick has some work and no one is take care of her i understand why he did'nt he call, met or talked to Lisa but staying with Margot its unacceptable to me. i am tired of heroine shown celibate, here also Lisa never dated anyone in 2 years and here Sam trying to replace her dated and slept with many woman

If Sam still loved Lisa then he should have a little confidence and trust in his love i know its not easy cause Lisa had left but now they are grown up people a lot wiser and mature persons, let Lisa know about the baby and then whatever Lisa decides its upto her,if she accepts good and if not its her loss

Okay read

I read this in the box set, I'm not crazy about it. Lisa is too childish for her own good and Sam is too jealous/prideful for his own good. the original marriage sounds like a joke, the getting back together was painful. I could foresee the Margot train wreck before it happened. the issue with Nick and Margot not passing on Lisa's message was not resolved. And really if you think there is a shot with someone you don't wait a week or two to pursue it.
I was disappointed in what could have been a good book.

2nd chance romance

This book was ok. My biggest complaint is how everyone blames the female. The husband was just as to blame. I can't say that I really liked either character, and I absolutely detested the brother for his behavior toward the female. He was just as much to blame as the other 2 for his behavior in the past.

Enjoyed the story, some sentence structure issues and a few spelling edits need to be made, but over all easy late night read.

Crazy About A Cowboy is a heartfelt second chance romance that explores whether love can survive heartbreak, distance, and painful mistakes.

Two years after a difficult divorce, Lisa returns to Texas determined to move forward with her life and protect her young son from further upheaval. Running into her ex husband Sam almost immediately forces both of them to confront emotions they never fully resolved. The chemistry is still there, but so are the wounds.

Sam’s character arc adds emotional weight to the story. He is not simply longing for what he lost, he is wrestling with regret and the consequences of his choices. His desire to prove he has changed creates tension that feels honest rather than rushed. The added complication of a child from another relationship raises the stakes and makes the possibility of reconciliation far from simple.

The strength of the novel lies in its tenderness. It focuses on forgiveness, growth, and the quiet rebuilding of trust. Readers who enjoy sweet reunion romances with emotional depth and family centered themes will find this story especially satisfying.

Crazy About A Cowboy delivers warmth, hope, and the comforting reminder that sometimes love deserves a second chance.

The H and h have been divorced for two years. There were explanations for why their marriage didn't work out but they don't feel like they provide the complete picture. The h blames herself for being too young (22) and immature wanting to go dancing. The H accused the h of being in love with his brother. It's not clear what the final fight that made the h leave town was about. She thought he would come after her. He didn't. He buried his hurt in drink and women one of whom is carrying his child. The h and H have a three year old son. When the h and H meet at a cattle auction, the H finds out that she has a new job and has moved closer to his ranch. It feels like they quickly start thinking about reigniting their relationship. The treatment of their growth and reconciliation feels very superficial.

I read this book which is part of the Love me some Cowboy boxset.

An easy read told from a different perspective as a divorced couple had to face the past, take responsibility for the things which happened in the time apart and become whole again.

As always a love a good western romance and this one didn't disappoint.

What to say about this story... Overall, I liked the story.

The story, itself, was unusual in that Sam and Lisa are a divorced couple with a three year old son. Their relationship and marriage had been a whirlwind and had ended with the same spontaneous combustion that it had begun. They had amazing chemistry, but a total lack of communication on both sides led to explosions almost daily.

After 2 years of marriage, Lisa decides she's had enough and leaves the ranch in Texas, taking her son to Colorado. Now she's back in Texas and Sam wants 50/50 custody of little Joey. Almost immediately, they both realize they are still in love with the other person, but they're both convinced the other hates them.

Gradually opening up lines of communication is a definite start. The problem now is that Sam had a short-term affair while Lisa was still in Colorado and that affair resulted in a child that is due in just a couple months. Sam wants to get married again and be a family, but Lisa struggles with the idea of Sam having a child with another woman.

I loved this STORY because it was different than any other romance story I've read. There WERE a few things that kept gnawing at me, however, and that's why I had to give it 3 stars instead of 4. First of all, the run-on sentences and COMPLETE lack of necessary commas made reading it somewhat difficult at times. It took me ALOT longer than it should have because I kept having to go back and reread, mentally inserting commas and periods.

While Sam and Lisa were great, I had some issues with some of the side characters. Sam's little brother, Nick, and Lisa used to be really good friends and sort of dated for a minute in high school. (Their past was some of the problem with Sam and Lisa's marriage) Suddenly, Nick seems to HATE Lisa. He's very antagonistic toward her. I get that he's looking out for his brother and everything, but his attitude made me irritated. He tells Lisa to stay away from Sam. Sam and Lisa are trying to rebuild at least a friendship and she tells Sam what Nick said to her and Sam is just like, "huh..." This is the woman who is supposedly the love of his life, and he's not going to get the least bit irritated that his brother is being a complete jackass to her??? Then when Sam gets hurt and is in the hospital, Nick bold-face lied to Lisa and told her Sam didn't want to see her. Mind you, less than an hour before he got hurt he asked her to marry him again. Then she calls for two weeks to talk to him after he goes home and Nick doesn't give him and of the messages. And Nick calls Sam's baby momma to come stay at the ranch with him to help take care of him when he first gets home from the hospital instead of calling Lisa. And Sam doesn't seem to have any problem with ANY of that... I wish Ms. McMahon would have had Sam confront Nick about his blatant disrespect and defend his woman's honor, like a REAL cowboy would've done... Even a stubborn, pig-headed one would've done that. You don't mess with a cowboy's woman...

Then there was Nick's fiance who was just sort of there... She just ate up pages without a real purpose... And Lisa's mom knew about the baby momma but never once told Lisa about her, even after Lisa came back to town and started spending more time with Sam. That's something a momma would definitely tell her daughter. Especially since Sam is the father of her grandson and him having another kid will impact her grandson! She'd want to talk to Lisa about it.

Overall, the story was good. Luckily, the side characters weren't really IN the story a whole bunch. Nick was the primary side character. But the lack of commas and surplus of run-on sentences was almost nauseating.

I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in cowboy romances, but the things I highlighted about Sam's non-cowboy behavior might irritate ya... And if you don't mind the punctuation and grammar stuff, the story itself really is a good one.

A quick read. Cowboy loses his wife and his son when he suspects she's in love with his brother. Just too many misunderstandings for me. Thankfully, they managed to grow up and make some decisions on their own. I really liked little Joey though!

To be honest, I read the first couple chapters and then skimmed through the rest of the book for two reasons 1) Didn't have time to read it and 2) was too bored by the slow pace of the story to want to make time to read it.

i really wanted Sam to knock his brother into next year for the way he treated Lisa.

Don't be to hard on Lisa for deciding to raise another woman's baby as her own, adoption is a beautiful thing!

Thanks for writing.
