Dozens of new insights and knowledge from the book. I'm still fascinated by the stories.

Sadly tho, the way the book explains certain aspects of a theory, in bahasa indonesia it is "susah dicerna".

And looking back to the stories, which is the key point, on what is this book selling it on. Sometimes, the writing of some stories is noticeably awful. Not that the story is bad or anything.

I got the Bahasa Indonesian copy of the book, i love the integrated visual art on almost every page of the book, and the way the visual art of the book, combines itself with the story is fascinating.

All and all, the book isn't bad, but it could be better

The approach here attempts to be more scientific, but it still uses a lot of the old ghost stories you'll come across in many of these collections of "true" ghost stories from the turn-of-the-century and earlier. This one, though, has many new ones, including some about reports of a ghostly St. George and his army helping the British in a battle in WWI, which I found fascinating. There's also a bibliography suggesting more books of ghost stories, both fictional and "real".

(Actually, read in the Project Gutenberg transcription, which is quite free of typos.)

An attempt (?) to be "scientific" about ghosts and phenomena. Pure horseradish, but rather entertaining. Most are stories I wasn't familiar with, and several are a little creepy. Appendix includes St. George appearing to English soldiers during WWI, which I'd heard about but not seen the story. It's rather good.

True Ghost Stories

The explanations in this book often are identical to the ones ghost hunters currently taught. The stories are familiar yet well categorized. The tales reflect well in today's world. All said that makes a usefully book for advancing the understanding of paranormal activity.

3/5 👻 ghosties

If you can get past the first chapters of pseudo science, it has some interesting 'true' ghost stories.
