Easy to read and understand - perfect for beginning readers who are ready to venture into the world of fiction. This may just inspire some of them to fall in love with mysteries and begin a lifelong affair with renowned detectives like Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes! I like it that the solution to each case is revealed at the end of every chapter in an upside manner. I feel that just the mere act of turning this book around adds to the thrill of reading it. :)
This is a series of books that are similar to Encyclopedia Brown but for the younger set. The characters are related to characters of the Clue boardgame. The mysteries are about everyday situations children may find themselves in...seeing someone walk out of a restaurant without paying, suspecting someone of stealing.
The characters are fun and entertaining throughout the book. There is tons of humor that kept me thoroughly entertained as a child. I love whodunit books and trying to figure out the various mysteries and this collection of tales certainly doesn’t disappoint. This is a great read for children who love mysteries.
