It isn’t often that a comic book version of a beloved animation captures the spirit of the original. Happily this is one of those times.
Dave Manak’s stories feel like a labor of love.
The art of Ernie Colon, Al Milgrom, Jacqueline Roettcher perfectly imitates that of Jay Ward Studios. And John Wellington and George Roussous wisely use a muted color pallet.
When I finished them, I wanted more.
