A pretty book although I was a bit underwhelmed by the lack of vegetarian and vegan recipes. I think there are some interesting takes on classic puddings and I'm looking forward to trying those out.
Honestly, what better way to organise a cookbook than by MOOD? In the mood for comfort, healthiness, ease, fanciness, romance... Jo Pratt covers all the foody moods you could hope to feel. And the recipes are all straightforward - delicious-sounding but not daunting. I immediately ordered another copy for my sister's birthday and was equally smitten :)
I picked this book up by pure chance as I was browsing through my local bookshop. I had never heard of Jo Pratt before but the gorgeous cover on the book really caught my eye. When I flicked through the intended pages in the shop I just had to buy it. There's not many pictures accompanying the recipes but the recipes more than make up for it. I love the slightly unusual way that they're sectioned off but I really love the simple but slightly different recipes that set it apart from other cookbooks. I can't wait to get started on some of the ideas its given me.
